The question of "are there any gay men (or lesbians)" is valid. The question of "are there any REAL gay men (or lesbians)" is not. There are indeed a lot of bisexual and bicurious people on this forum, and it makes sense to wonder if there are any self-identified gay people. Asking if there are any "real" gay men/lesbians is like asking a transman forum if there are any "real" men around...it implies a lot of things. But I think TransJason presented his question well, and explained his reason for asking well. The other thread was a lot more insulting than this one.
