To be honest I've never met any. And many in the scene seem to have some sort of problem with it. But that could be b/c I'm in a very meat loving area and not related to bdsm.

Welcome to my life. haha, I think we may be alone. oh well, there's always www.veganerotica.com :)

I think, and I could be wrong, that Betticus tries to stick to a vegan diet. He doesn't always succeed, although I know that gluten is his biggest issue.

I have no problem with vegans.

Just as long as you let me eat my steaks, I'll save all the brussels sprouts for you ;)

How about me?

I'm not vegan, but I'm darn near close, because of my food allergies. I'd just give up on meat all together, but I'm married to a Texan. If you wanna try and convince my hubby to live without meat, good luck. The only kind of meat I really eat is chicken and some fish. I don't eat eggs, cause they're gross. I don't eat red meat or pork, cause they give me cramps. I don't drink milk cause it gives me 'kill every living thing in the room' gas. I try not to eat gluten cause I get diarhea so bad that I have sores from wiping so much. And I rarely eat fish, cause it's to expensive for something that doesn't taste that great.

I know plenty of vegans into the scene. Don't see any connection between the two as to why there would be any more or less?

That's never stopped a lot of vegan horseback riders. *snickers* I make a point of drawing that distinction to their attention.. that most equine equipment is made of leather.. cow, buffalo, elk, etc... and it usually silences the "OMG the poor cows, how can you people slaughter them so cruelly!!11!!one!" crap.

For my part, I love meat. Vegans can do without.. I'll eat twice as much, just so theirs doesn't go to waste. :D

The only time I have problems with vegans is when they get self righteous with me. I don't gag when they're eating sea weed or whatever. My grandpa's vegan and some of the things he eats . . . I also don't expect them to eat what I eat.

My friend, Ella - the one I talked about in 'Grief', was vegan, and always had been. Meat would literally make her puke. Her body was not used to digesting it.

Oh, Im thinking more of vegetarians I think. I dunno...I find the whole concept confusing.

I always thought if it was green it means it has gone mouldy and should not be eaten.

I take this to include lettuce, celery, and all vegatables, regardless of colour, as deep down they want to be green.

thats how a lot of vegans are.

While I was searching for the right Dom I dated a very extreme vegen Dom for awhile.....he wouldn't even eat honey. Unfortunately he also did not experiment much in terms of cooking so dinner at his place usually meant noodles of some sort or beans.....nice guy, but I could never have given up that much.

That's what Ella said. She and her sibs were all raised vegan, had never eaten meat or anything. They were really strict vegans, no animal products, no gluten and no processed sugar. For her, taking a walk on the wild side was eating a donut. And even then she only ate a few bites, any more would make her sick.

When she was pregnant with the baby she lost, her husband (who at the time had me fooled as a nice guy) worried that what she was eating was bad for the baby. He was pretty surprised when I told him that, as gross as what she eats is, it's actually better for her and the baby than the Standard America Diet (SAD).

Since B's showed up gluten intolerant (we always knew she was lactose intolerant) I've really wished I had Ella to talk to. She'd have had lots of quick ideas and easy recipes for her. How in the world am I supposed to feed a three year old without giving them bread or noodles?

vegan dom?!?! where?!?! I want one :( It would be so much easier actually finding a vegan than having to convert a meat eater
