Just curious if there are any fellow Deadheads on Lit. I'm sure there's got to be some of you. If so, what's your favorite Dead tune? Mine changes day to day. Right now it's Brokedown Palace.

I am a Dead Head, one of only a few here. I did a lot of touring so I know a lot about the lot.


I am not sure I can say I have a favorite Dead song, but Ripple has been a long time fav.

I live near Toledo and two weekends ago the expo of Jerry's paintings that are for sale came to our convention center. I was out of fucking town and missed it. Typical.

I am in no hurry if you aren't. Just let me know when you want it and I'll ship it to you, but if you are broke or whatever, don't feel any pressure.

My dead experience is a bit limited, but it is certainly present.
I just put side one of Dead Set on the old turntable because it's just been too long, you know?

Hey Star and all others:

As the saying goes, "we are everywhere". I kind of expected a larger response but no matter. I never toured cuz I was too young (I'm 24). I saw TOO at Alpine this summer and I saw the Rosemont show on Winter tour. I hope to go again this summer. You know, even though I've seen TOO I still feel like the energy is different than a Dead concert (even though I never saw the Dead). The void left by Jerry is so huge. Something about how he played soothes the soul. Listening to him is like floating if that makes sense. Sorry, I tend to ramble when I talk about the Dead. They mean so much to me.

I was a dead head and certainly still a phan. Saw 3 shows at the first I heard China>Rider, second Help>Slip>Franklins, third Scarlet>Fire. So I consider myself very lucky. Favorite song, possibly Ripple, or Scarlet Fire if I can count that as one.
