i'm not sure how many of you out there are familiar with the films of kevin smith(clerks, mallrats, chasing amy, dogma) but i'm a big fan. if im not the only one, please let me know, i always enjoy debating over whether the cookie stand is part of the food court.

Am I a Kevin Smith fan?

Hell yes! But I didn't really like Mallrats, but the other three were outstanding. But all that aside, of course the cookie stand is a part of the food court.

I'm a Smith fan too. The scene in Clerks where the video store clerk (can't remember the name) spits water in the face of an unsuspecting customer made me hurt from laughter. The scene where the easter bunny gets beaten up by Silent Bob in Mallrats is up there on the hialrity charts too. Oh and in the same film where the guy realises that the girlfriend he dumped killed herself was hilarious too. Oh and the scene ... well anyway, yeah I'm a fan.

I've heard that Dogma is Deb's favorite film. She loved the scene where that kid gets a hard-on while kissing God.

Haven't seen Mallrats... loved Amy... even made it into a true movie soundtrack on CD... and Clerks was damn good

Haven't seen Dogma yet but read the whole script last year and are going to have to scrape up the cash to buy it I think.

Did anyone else think the highlight of Scream 3 was the appearance of Jay and Silent Bob?

Holy Shit! Jay and Silent Bob are in Scream 3?! I hate the Scream movies, but I have to see Scream 3 now! Thanks, Chef!

Kevin Smith.. He writes Daredevil. Ahhhhh, yes, I am a huge fan of his writing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates comic books.. now what's this about a Kevin Smith movie?

never,
how can you not be familiar with the movies of kevin smith. im so ashamed. i banish you to the video store right now. go rent them, clerks, mallrats, chasing amy and dogma.

ian,
i hate to disagree, but "the cookie stand's not part of the food court....the food court is downstairs, the cookie stands is upstairs, it's not like we're talking quantum physics here...bullshit, eateries that operate in the designated square downstairs count as food court, anything outside said designated square is an autonomous unit for mid mall snacking" (sorry, hate to ramble, but damn, the man can write good dialogue)

to the rest of you,
thank you for posting. if you have missed one of the films, get behind never and rent them tonight. now, this is just for the fanatics like me, but is anyone else thinking about going to vulgarthon 2000? if you don't know what i'm talking about go to newsaskew.com: your daily source for all things askew.

The Cookie Stand Debate

Of course the Cookie Stand isn't part of the food court:

it is clearly an independent establishment for mid-mall snacking.
What're you thinking?

Although my favorite lines are still from Chasing Amy:
--A minute thirty-five. You are such my bitch. and
--Hey, Lady. You're fucking up my cabbage patch.
--And THAT, my friend, is a Shared Moment.
