D.C. Act 20-593:

amends the Human Rights Act of 1977 to protect individuals from discrimination by an employer, employment agency, or labor organization, based on an individual's or dependent's reproductive health decisions; and
defines reproductive health decisions to include a decision by an employee, his or her dependent, or the employee's spouse related to the use or intended use of a particular drug, device, or medical service, including the use or intended use of contraception or fertility control or the planned or intended initiation or termination of a pregnancy.
This is what Republicans keep TRYING to do to women: make it so you have to answer to your fucking EMPLOYER if you try to get even your CONTRACEPTION paid for on your HEALTH CARE PLAN.

They can't get away with waging a direct war on contraception so they're trying to make an end run by chipping away at women's access through their employer's health care plans.

Give these fuckers total control in 2016 and they won't even bother with using the "religious liberty" excuse. Or they'll cite "religious liberty" in denying any government funding for contraception - why? To spite women and set them back more than fifty damned years.

So ladies, what possesses you to vote for this nonsense? Not that men have any excuse, either, but really, self-hate is a horrible thing to behold.

The Bill overturned an illegal D.C. city council law (RHNDA), that even D.C. Mayor Gray (Democrat) opposed.

"...In its current form, RHNDA violates the First Amendment and
the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act of 1993 (RFRA).
Further, the language of the bill is sufficiently vague that it
could be read to require employers within the District of
Columbia to provide insurance coverage for reproductive health
products with which the employers disagree.
As a result of these fundamental issues with RHNDA, the
Committee decided to markup H.J. Res. 43 in disapproval of the
DC Reproductive Health Non-Discrimination Amendment Act of 2014."

Fuck employers. It's not their decision to decide what's covered under health insurance.
