just FYI, vB Code doesn' work in thread or post titles either -- and that's what you tried to use in your other thread title.

AS to why neither HTML or vB Code work in the title field, necroerotica hit the essence of the programming choice that forces title to be parsed as plain text. (and NO, MJ it's not turned off, it's hard-coded into the software.)

I suspect that it's hard-coded because laying out an index page when you can't predict the font and/or font-size and more trouble than theprogrammers were interested in taking on.
