Just wanted to mention this because I saw the article listed under the one Bubba picked out. It said our math and science students still lag behind other countries.

The reason for this is because other countries separate their students at age 12, sending some to college prep and some to vo-tech. We keep ours together all the way through and give all a chance to go to some kind of college because you just never know who will blossom. Our entire high school population's test scores are thus compared to the college prep students of other countries so naturally we look bad. On the other hand, we should note that our country works like no other to give all students a chance to go to college. Pell grants and low admission standards at many state schools give virtually everyone who gave more than a fart's effort in high school a chance for something better.
