If you want to attract a lot of blue jays put peanuts out they love them,I've seen 8 or 9 at a time before lately.

They are sorta loud and playful,jumping around I like observing as well.

I agree with that. It is starting to hit our area as well. Seeing lots of dead birds where I work.
