We have a black snake that climbs our oak trees for squirrel and bird nests. It's fascinating to watch. I have video.So I should be expecting snakes next? This is getting out of hand.![]()

Wasn't sure that would actually post. It's the pecking order at the bird feeder. From a Washington Post story. Here's the link:

I now see the types of birds didn't load for some reason. The crow is at the top, and our little Carolina Chickadee is at the bottom.
I hope Saint Ann survived the rapture.

The hail storm and microburst last night blew over my platform feeder.
We have an XL tube feeder with a wire exclosure around it. It has the effect of turning the pecking order on its head; the larger birds and squirrels are dependent on the chickadees, titmice, and finches to get in there and spill seed.Wasn't sure that would actually post.
