Please say a prayer for me concerning the health of my whole family, the one I was born into and the families I chose. We all can use prayer for ourselves and the extended families we are a part of.

I also want to ask for prayers for the Lit family members here going through health issues and in remission.

Cancer took my sister in 2007. There are members here going through pains by themselves and I want them to know they aren't alone.

There are certain members going through the loss of loved ones, whether human or pets that need healing as well.

All these I've mentioned, I'm familiar with.

That it's the Holidays makes it all the more sad... but that's what makes us human - we pray, treat each other with dignity and respect, and move forward as best we can.

I believe prayer changes things.

I humbly ask for prayer for the weak and the strong, the financially capable and the poor, the unhealthy and the healthy, the mentally sane and the mentally issue ridden, the disabilitied and the able bodied, for any I've missed...please allow positive blessings to flow in their favor today, tomorrow and beyond.

Specifically, please help bring those living in darkness, in a bad place in their lives, out to face the sunshine and receive hope. Drowning in dispair hurts. This is a quiet form of "disease" because it is not easily seen. It is a state of being. It requires a consistent form of help. Without a good mind, outlook for things, it is impossible to accomplish anything. I'm asking for a way to be made when things look bleak.

So many lost their homes, loved ones and cherished memories in tragedies this year. Please allow glimmers of hope to stay present in ALL of our souls.

Thinking about those we lost this year, thru all the tragedies both personal and public.

Thinking about those who struggle with all the changes they went through.

Thinking about those who can't wait to start a new year because of everything that happened this last one.

To those that suffered, are suffering or are dealing with someone who is suffering.

For the ones I call friends whether old friends or friends I have yet to meet.

For the ones who went on and left us behind whether too soon or because it was time.

2017 was a year to remember, a year to ponder where we are and where we need to go. It is my hope that all who read this find the peace they need and that the best days are ahead for as long as we can see.

This is my prayer. That we all go forward with the breeze behind us pushing us towards all the positive good things that are ahead. *bows reverently*

prayers for a friend whose dog and partner are both needing emergency care. as i write this, the outcome is uncertain.

I pray for my friends in difficult situations. Whether it's suffering loss, an intimidating uphill climb, or the indecision that springs from feeling resigned to less than ideal personal situations, I pray that all can withstand the negative feelings that occur when life decides that they not be dealt the cards they need for this particular hand.

It's all a gamble. The only way to win is to grit your teeth, continue to ante-up and play with all your heart.

In July 2016, I started a thread for those needing anonymous prayers. It doesn't matter which deity you believe in or whether you believe in one. It is the fact that there are people willing to think or pray or meditate on your behalf that is the driving force behind this idea.

For those of you who have sought it, I hope it has resulted in the needs being met.

For those who have done this service, I pray for blessings upon you.

There are some who believe that a thread like this doesn't belong on a site like this. Perhaps it is a valid statement. But to this I retort. We come here for various reasons. Sometimes we look for the carnal, sometimes we look for the recreational. But other times, we look for companionship. We look for like minded people we can talk to and we can be around. A place to ask for help isn't alien here. There are threads asking or offering hugs and for other types of comforts not of a carnal nature. So this thread has a place.

And the offer still stands even if the thread seems quiet. If you need it, ask if you like. If this is too revealing for you, my inbox is open and I can ask on your behalf and keep you anonymous. As the song says,"We all need somebody to lean on."

Thank you Azul and HBergeron for reigniting this thread of valid prayers for all of us in need, even if the person may even be yourself. It warms my heart to ask for prayers for a few people on this site who has been dealt a bad hand. I still say they are my heroes for all they go through on a daily basis. Most would have cringed and given up. I gladly allow their souls to be lifted up to receive the blessings they all deserve.
