I absolutely loved your story! Yes, she was a heartless b*tch, but hearing her thoughts I really felt for her and understood why she was that way. I, too, have had a really difficult life, though not in the same way. The ending really brought me to tears though - I so badly wanted her to reach out to him but thought it was over when she moved. Then when he met her there, I knew it was over - especially when he went off on her (rightfully so! but still...) Unbelievable establishment of characters! Excellent story - haven't read something of this caliber since Charles Dickens' Great Expectations!

I know. I know. I just hate it when somebody posts a couple of chapters and then leaves the readers hanging forever, and then I went and did it myself. I had great intentions of finishing this, and then I just sorta lost my muse in several respects. Besides, three were some things that were going to happen that can't be described on Lit, so I have to censor myself. I really will try hard to get back to it. You may need to be patient. And if you feel bad about being left hanging, think about poor Susan in the story being left hanging in that torture chamber all this time!
