Ok so I have hit my first anniversary here on lit. What a year its been. I have gone from not knowing anything to having at least some of who I am defined enough to seek out relationships and play that will let me explore it more. If the first year was good then the second looks to be a whole lot better.

But I want to make this thread for all of us to mark and acknowledge those important days in our lives. So please chime in on what makes any particular day extra special for you.

22 November 2003 - the day Master and I first met face to face

24 January 2004 - the day I moved to Australia to be with Him

9 December 2006 - the day we got married

Okay so it's a week today since my cat Dommy brought half a dead Godzilla into my home and left it on my living room floor........I love my life .

That is in fact a huge half of a lizard on a huge tile ...... :shudders:

LOL, my sister lives west of Brissie and her husband has been away for a few weeks so she was left in charge of taking care of everything, snake adventures included. So far she has walked over an Eastern Brown with the mower before realising it (mower wasn't on so snake wasn't chopped up)....then she thought it had escaped into her house!! She has also encountered what sounds like an Eastern Tiger and a Taipan, all close to the house area. Of course, being a city girl through and through despite years in the bush, she didn't have suitable boots on for any of these meetings....I gave her a huge lecture though I doubt it worked as she just commented he would be home soon and she wouldn't have to go out to feed the animals or investigate the dogs barking anymore. I know when I lived there I had an Eastern Brown living in our yard in the city, though all I ever found was the shed skin...I chose not to go into the far end of the yard where I suspected it lived unless I had very high, thick boots on.

Ha, ha!

Creepy lizard humor aside....

Somehow Howard Country doesn't strike me as a great choice for Plan B.

I've had my eye on New Zealand for several years now. (To be honest, though, this could have more to do with LOTR footage than anything else.)

I know that the anniversaries are years apart but they sure are close on the calender.

That just hurts Netz . I would have offered you the guest room as transitory digs and to the best of my knowledge it's not only totally fabulous but has remained reptile free.

Spoil sport . I did Green Acres when we had the property in the Southern Highlands and it was a hoot. What's the point in being acclimatised to everything. It was the diversity of experience that made it so much fun . I could have made a fortune selling the sequined gumboots I designed for my family.

Dommy!

What a good kitty!

*pet, pet, rub, rub*

Too bad your human sub doesn't understand the privilege you have bestowed on her. I bet you didn't find her behavior pleasing did you?

Perhaps you should correct her?

*chuckles*

*grins* I used to be so happy  when our cats used to bring in live mice and birds......and let them go in the house  The half rat I found under the trampoline was great too.....thanks Wally  :D

My mom had massive oral surgery and was really sick for about two weeks. About halfway through that time she woke up to find the cat regurgitating some mice on the pillow next to hers. We think it was a 'gift'. She ended up puking all the food she'd ate that day, though. She was not happy.

Pfft, you should have been around my house in the first half of this decade. Our cat Truffle brought in dead and live animals an average of three times a week - sometimes every day, sometimes not for several days, but an average of three times a week. He finally slowed down as he got older - he's probably about 9 or 10 now - but he did catch a bird a week or two ago. We blocked off the cat door for coming in many years ago (more because of the raccoons than the cat gifts), so he was begging for us to let him in through the front door. It was really cold out, but we politely declined!

My wife and I started dating in mid-February 1998, so we picked Feb 14th as our big day. My Daddy and I started seeing each other Memorial Day weekend 2000 (end of May) but we don't really celebrate anything in particular.

My wife and I will have been together 10 years next year, so I'm fiddling about with planning a nice trip to Europe. I'm not sure if it'll be London and Paris or Paris and Amsterdam or what, but it'll be something along those lines. She's also going to be designing a tattoo for me to get next year. I don't do name tattoos, but 10 years is enough time to celebrate with a design she creates. Even if we break up in the future - not likely, but if we do - it'll be a nice memory of 10 great years.

Me and K have our ten year anniversary in august. I'm thinking we might do whta we did for our five year - drive up and down the coast for the weekend, sleeping in the back of the van. :D It was great last time, and I was pregnant. I bet it'll be even better not pregnant.

So your going to retrace your trip five years later??

If your do Paris Amsterdam the you might get to meet say ShyGuy and Catalina. But I am sure both of them could give you pros and cons of London vs Amsterdam.

If you come Europe please let me know. If you come to London that would be great but I would happily fly to anywhere in Europe to meet up with you.

Pleeeeeseeeeee.

Oh, and please tell your wife I promise to keep my excitment and drooling down to a minimum ;)

Doesn't Andante live in like one of the "low countries" of Europe?? If he does then you could see him and Etoile at the same time.

My Dear!

That is for your Dommy to say, not I!

Cats bring home food to share because they are not the dominant in the house.
This is why they cover their poop. If they were dominant they wouldn't.
In gracie's case, the cat knew her mom was sick and was trying to help her. You gotta eat.
The proper response is to thank them and try to get them to put it somewhere like the bathtub, where it's easy to clean up, because they're not going to stop.

The only important anniversary I have is it's one year since I started teaching. If the evaluation I am going through goes well, I will no longer be on probationary status.

What is a low country

He lives in Denmark and I am in the UK.

We manage to see alot of each other so I would not necessarily plan time to see him as well as Etoile. If he had time off and could met us....well that is different lol

Thinking of seeing him, in a little under 3 weeks I will be with there with him

Luxembourg and a few of the neighboring countries I think the social studies teacher at one time called them the low countries. It might be a sea level thing or not?? I like to multitask so...

Eeeeeee! Seriously? Because that would be totally awesome! I will keep you updated via PM on what we decide to do. My ideal would be to book a round trip ticket to London, and take the train to Paris and then to Amsterdam. But how does one get between Amsterdam and London for the flight home? Anyway, I will let you know.

The Low Countries are Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg (Benelux).
