I don't know the story here, but I once has an elderly friend fall in love with what he thought was a young woman. The guy lived in NZ but one of his fake female handles claimed to live in the US.

Bottom line, people can get hurt when other people lie.

Well I would hate it if this kind of thing happened to me, but it would be REALLY an issue if you tried to meet up with your internet dream date in person... and instead, some blonde guy from Dateline NBC wearing a suit and tie pops out from behind a curtain and says "Why don't you have a seat right over there. And take your hands out of your pockets."

Then you KNOW your fucked. (without actually having sex, I mean.)
