Animated Avatars.....

I am not sure if anyone can help me with this but my question is can i turn a still avatar or picture into an animated one..

do i need a special program or something else

Even if you had the appropriate software, you would still need to either edit the image so that you had a slightly different image in each frame. I use a combination of Photoshop and Imageready. Other people use other programs. There are plenty of programs capable of turning multiple still images into an animation.

lol that sounds far too difficult to me...would be better off trying to find animated avatars....

With the tight dimension and file-size limits on avatars, you'll probably still need to use some animation software to get what you want.

Animation isn't really difficult, it's just tediuous. Converting a still image to an animation is a bit more difficult than other projects, but like any other image manipulation project, it's just a matter of finding the right software and experimenting with it until you get the effect you want.

There are a 30 trial versions of Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop at www.jasc.com that can get you started with making your own animated avatars or editing something you find to meet Lit's limitations on avatar size.

Well I have been to the cp page and it wont let me even add a image much less change... How do you get one to start with...?
