CBC started running it in 1970.

NBC first ran some of the sketches in 1974 and PBS ran full shows that summer.

I forget where I first saw it. Either CBC or PBS as I lived in a border city with a large presence of CBC programming. PBS at the time was on the fledgling UHF frequency range and hard to pick up. The CBC station had a strong signal.

My dear colleague you have just hit on one of my all-time guilty pleasures. I am a great fan of Monty Python. The first place would go to the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" the second place to "Monty Python's Life of Brian" and third place to "The Meaning of Life".
