Hi, My name is Purrde and I am a Texan born, bred and raised. I have a very southern Texan accent (or so I am told.) My cousin this weekend pointed it out to me. He is also a Texan but his accent is very mild compared to mine. A few other people I know has also said something about it. I have even been approached by strangers in grocery stores and gas stations to tell me how beautiful and profound my accent is. My ex also tells me it gets very thick when I am angry.

So.. where are you from? Do you have a deep accent? Have people started subjects on your accent?

I'm from Texas also, but did spend some time in Maine when I was a kid. It's funny because my family/friends in Maine say that I have a Texas accent, but my Texas family/friends say that I have a Maine accent.

Not sure of how a mix of the two would sound.

"Pahk the cah over yonder yah'll"

just a hint of southern accent here, lived most of my first ten years in the northwest u.s. I still get the "you aren't from around here are you?" question every now and then, but I can hear the accent myself.

I have a slight twang to my voice, or (as you said) so I'm told. Other then that, I think my voice fits in where I'm at. I'm a sucker for a nice deep british accent, though.... makes me feel all nasty and naughty...

I used to think that I didn't have that much of an accent, but I have been told lately that I have a southern drawl.:)

I like accents, I think that they add character to people.

ohh...i love a southern accent...now whose was that great one on the voices thread? LTR's?

damn that was nice

I was born in Los Angeles, and live now in Illinois.. right near St. Louis, MO. So.. I'm pretty much accentless.

I was in London but my family come from Gloucestershire, I now live in Hampshire so I have a neutral accent as such. However when I talk to my relatives I go broad Gloucester and if I get excited or angry London comes through. I can also put on an "English" accent for the tourists so to speak....lol :)

have been asked if i'm from the south but i was born and raised in Northwest. I warsh my clothes in the warsher-----and yes people tell me all the time that i say it weird.

Country cow paddy east texas sounding mother fucker that's me!

I said that to my wife the other day and she agreed 100 percent.

I am also from Texas. I do have an accent and people have commented on my accent on many ocassions. I used to be a waitress and people would always ask where I was from and they told me I did not sound like I was from Texas.

I have an accent but I don't have a " Texas accent". Since my first language was spanish I have a spanish accent. It is noticable when I get angry or get excited. I can not pronounce certain words in English and friends seem to get a laugh out of that ...

I don't mind my accent at all its part of me, except for those times when I get tongue tied & can't say certain words.

An ex used to call me his " spanish princess " because of my accent, he asked me to teach him certain phrases in spanish and I did .. I made him taste every single syllable when saying certain things in spanish. ;)

born and raised in Washington (that's Warshington for curvacious ;) )

No accent of any kind here..

Accent?

I am a born and bred Georgian, I have NO accent. It is everyone else that tawks funny not me. No sirah, not me!! Y'all come back now ya heah? ;)

I have a Midwest accent, which is nothing more than speaking a bit slower than normal unaccented English. Growing up in the middle of nowhere, where there is nothing to do, does that to a person.

Thank you kind sirah!! Could the moisture glistening in my cleavage due to the unrelentless sun have anything to do with why we are sexy? ;) Or could it be the way we say GAWD when our lovers are letting us know with their bodies just how sexy we are? :p Whatever the reason behind such a kind post, sirah, I do thank ya!!
