And God Provides the Clay...

I saw an event today that was heart-breaking and disturbing.

I came upon a collision tween a car and a bicycle on the parking lot of a shopping center. The driver is an old woman. The cyclist is a homeless man who hangs out at the center. He was hurt, his bike crushed, and his two dogs killed. The old lady looked devastated but had control of herself, enough to direct traffic around her car. I heard sirens in the distance, and a hospital is directly across the street. My assistance wasnt needed.

What impressed me most was how carefully and gently the homeless guy moved his dogs off the pavement, out of the Sun, and to the shade of a tree.

This is where story stuff comes from.

Now that I read this, I'm certain to have a bad dream tonight... :(

That's because his dogs were kinder to him than the disgusting abyss known as mankind.

God didn't provide the clay James, you should know better than that. He's provided and allowed for nothing, but misery in this world.

Animals don't know God. They have no concept of religion or "faith"

That's why they're loyal and love unconditionally, because they have not been "touched" by the alleged God that graces this world daily with his "kindness" that is more suited to be called atrocity.

That's why I donate thousands every year to animal rescue leagues, but won't so much as piss in anything going to a church.

I would think that sooner or later someone will comment on the need to prevent elderly people from driving. This problem will only get worse in time. As for that lady, without more facts I can't say for sure, but this might be the time for her to hand over the keys, before she takes more lives. When the United States succumbed to the car culture and eliminated mass transit in favor of "everyone with an automobile", the God of Unintended Consequences laughed.

I have no idea who caused the collision. The immediate area makes speed almost impossible, its a short exit with speed bumps and stop signs. The cyclist may have been in front of the driver and lost his balance. I cant say.

Aww, JBJ - and here we were thinking that you were just a grumpy old bastard with no soul. :)
