For those of us who enjoy being anal bottoms, how do you prepare for the activity? In my case I know I can't fully enjoy bottoming without being empty. Getting to that state through administering an enema. This is time-consuming, so there's no spontaneity at all.

As you say an enema is not always feasible before anal sex. I enjoy emptying my bowels as much as feasible then sharing a bath together. I’m bi and versatile so I love giving and taking with a guy or tv and with a woman too.
It’s nice to be as clean as possible and enjoy the different feel,of anal compared to the juicier vaginal which I also love

It helps if you get into a habit.
Every morning as part of the routine a good cleaning, once that is done plug it.
Keep it plugged all the time, every time you go to the toilet, flush it out good and replace the plug. This will keep you as ready as you can be.

I figured this is important. I went as far as getting fingered once and even I was clean I it felt like I had to go. I think I might invest in a dildo to practice opening up the hole and get used to the feeling. Tough to do when you are married and need to hide this stuff!

A dildo is a big help and will teach you to learn how to relax your anal sphincter. Plus, once you get used to it, feels great.

Ok so I’m not a “bottom” but do enjoy this and got the tips
I use from a friend. Plan for it! It sound so weird but two large water bottles filled with warm water with the squeeze tip. Do one hold it in for as long as you can. Wait about an hour and do it again. May have to do it 3 or four times. When the water runs clean your almost there. Relax your butt, lube a finger and insert to check. Insert your favorite plug with lots ofmlube to help your muscles adjust. Wear it for as long as you can and than check and make sure it’s clean. Add more lube and try the bigger one. Wait for hubby to get home and have fun!

I peg my hubby and he has never used an enema beforehand. We keep a couple of tissues handy in case we hit anything that might be lurking up there in the depths of his bowels, but let's face it, while we are most definitely not into "poop play" or whatever the technical term is for it, we are playing in the "out chute". I have to agree in terms of cleanliness, I keep my diet light, shower before meeting someone and keep wipies around in case of a surprise meeting.

As for getting ready to receive, hopefully your desire for it is pretty strong and that gets you part of the way. The other part is your partner will hopefully eagerly jump in and do the rest of the work, i.e. squeezing, rubbing, licking, fingering. Most men usually like all of that, opening up someone, preparing them. The plugs are usually something I’d use as a nice “surprise” for someone I’ve been seeing for awhile.
