I was advised since, after all this time, ive finally submitted some work to lit, that i should come by and introduce myself. You may call me Ren, Irish, or Dan, since I am not concerned with my actual first name being known. Im primarily a poet, but i do write stories, usually Sci-Fi and Fantasy, or a combination of the two. I hope my stuff is up to lit standards.

My parents are from the old country. I was born here. so my blood is as irish as anyone across the pond.

Oh ok. So what part of Ireland are you from? I look forward to reading your work. I think it will be very interesting.

My blood isn't pure.

My father's family is from Donegal and Cork, and my mother is as WASPy as they come. I'm actually descended from Ben Franklin, and some guy who got drunk on Boston Common and lost a duel. Apparently the legislature decided to pass a law making dueling on the Common illegal. Nice huh?
