My father's family is from Donegal and Cork, and my mother is as WASPy as they come. I'm actually descended from Ben Franklin, and some guy who got drunk on Boston Common and lost a duel. Apparently the legislature decided to pass a law making dueling on the Common illegal. Nice huh?

Dun nGall eh? our clanns are probably related. My ancestor did lead a rebellion against the English, but was shot in the head half an hour into his last battle at Doon Rock in Kilmacrenan. They had to shoot him, only a fool fights an O'Dochartaigh up close lol.

thank you everybody, i really appreciate being welcome in such a way. Im on the ORP alot, so some of my writing can be seen there, it should at least give you a taste of the direction my imagination leads. lol

yay my two submissions are now up! they are called "passion" and "the blood". and speaking of my rebellion leading ancestor, i think i shall post a poem i wrote in his honour.

The Bodyguard (current man) is full Irish. He came across the pond some number of years ago, and his heart is still there. He is, however, a good source of English jokes. :D

I am too, my parents are both from Donegal. I was born in the states and my parents met here. Dia Dhuit Trathnona, Mebh
