Amorous Goods

I got your PM but when I tried to reply the system told me your profile wasn't set up to accept private messages.

Go ahead and use the idea however you wish. There's zero chance I will be able to get this story done for this year's event, although I'd like to. I'm just too backed up. I reserve the right to write my own story based on this concept at some time in the future.

Hey (18+) girls and boys! How's the year going?

Is Amorous Goods still up? Are we doing again this year? I had a nice idea I wanted to put up for contest.

I chicken out last year and I was stuck with some personal/professional problems, but I think this year I can make it on time!

Also, have anyone else gotten concerned about their stories on terms of "this story has no horror" or "this scene is good on horror terms, but I should have worked on erotic terms more..."

I keep second guessing if I'm working this balance well...

A story either good, bad, or meh and has nothing to do with genre.

I Dunno. Read my take on AG and tell me what you think.
Amorous Goods Rebranded
I'm not finished with the reading, but from what I read, I think you went for a Cowboy Bebop vibe, Super Robot Taisen vibe story, right? I stopped to comment because I think I won't find anything about AG in this story (but I'll read it through to see if I'm right).

Also... Hmm, I get you'd like to worldbuild your concepts, but there's little erotic so far, more from a "wild space frontier" content.

Again I think this story is a standalone, out of AG. But It is yours, so you do what you seem better to it.

They find the Good's estate near the end.

Just finish reading it, lol.

I was like "are they? Are they finding Earth and AG's shop?"

Left a comment, I think it's good, but when it started to get things going it ended...

One more (stupid) question, is Lit's official contest AG page the same?

Because the one I have says "SEASON 01 (2020) - COMING SOON"

I mean, looks outdated a little...

don't think there was a second, talk but nothing else, ask @jaF0
I actually found out combing old threads:

2021 AG's announcement: https://www.literotica.com/s/coming-soon-amorous-goods-season-two-2021

2021 AG's thread: https://forum.literotica.com/threads/amorous-goods-a-literotica-anthology-series-season-two.1545709/

Moreover, gonna quote the char (re)works below:

Hi, again. Here are some character/location details I've written into the story I am writing.
Louis Freitag. obvious play on Lewis Vendredi from source series. Distant Uncle Louis makes a flashback appearance in my story. Guiding a swing party at the Amorous Inn (the upper stories of the Amorous Goods mansion). He is old, but how old? Could be 60s or 70s. He's still tall, 6'1", and agile and active when we see him. He's got an old man's bony ass, but still sports 8+ inches of active meat. He's debonair and charming, but certainly in control.
Vikki Friday. Her branch of the family Americanized the name when they emigrated. Indeterminate age, but likely 25-30 based on years of education and experience. She is an archivist, which means a Bachelor's Degree followed by Grad School. Just finished a project archiving a politician's papers, but it was on a grant, so she's now unemployed. I give no physical description, but there's certainly an expectation of beauty and/or fitness as jaF0 said. She's unattached right now, but sexually interested. In fact, she stumbles across some enchanted dildoes in the AG collection and has a good time.
Dylan. No physical description, specific age, or even last name from me. If he is indeed a cousin by marriage, then his wife's name (in my story) is Hazel. But there's only one, throw-away mention of her.
The mentor as I see her is not necessarily a relative; at least I haven't made her one. Her name is Morgana Delacroix (a play on the Arthurian witch Morgan le Fay and a Satan hunter (Delacroix meansm of the Cross). She's like Catherine Zeta-Jones. You know she has to be in her 40s or 50s but you can't really tell and you'd fuck her in a heart beat regardless. I see her as having gained some of her insights into the world of enchanted erotica from personal experience.

I described how I see the AG mansion in another post on the other thread. One addition, however, is below ground. The mansion has a full basement that Ludwig used for receiving, preparing and storing museum and shop displays. It has shelves of papers and artifacts that Vikki is combing through.
There is also a sub-basement which holds only a massive walk-in vault, like an old bank vault, where they lock away the most dangerous objects.

Hope this falls within the anthology's image and of course anyone is free to use these elements if they fit in your story.
What I think I gathered so far, and please correct my mistakes...

Vikki - The main character who makes at least a cameo appearance in each story but may get involved with the "protagonist of the week." She's in her mid-late 20s, attractive (but approachable) with an athletic build, who converses easily with her customers. As the only living blood-relative she inherited the shop from a rich, eccentric, uncle (great-uncle?) who had ammassed a sizeable collection of odd artifacts from around the world, some of which carry an enchantment or curse that only seem to affect certain people.

Dylan - Vikki's cousin on the "other side" of the family; he's not a blood-relative of the deceased uncle. Dylan is also in his mid-late 20's. His appearance is nondescript, but not unattractive (perhaps a slim, bookish appearance?) He's a bit socially awkward and often says things without really predicting how others will receive it; sometimes he sticks his foot in his mouth, sometimes his bluntness comes across as being rude. Like Vikki, Dylan makes at least a cameo appearance in each episode and may have deeper interactions with the weekly story.

Older character - A man named Marshall? A woman named Morgana DeLacroix? I'm confused on this character, I've seen each mentioned at least once, but haven't seen anything definitive about either. Are they somewhat interchangeable with each other so that either can be used depending on what's needed for the story? Please enlighten me on this character(s).

The shop - "Amorous Goods" seems to be in the mansion where the deceased uncle lived. Is this a stately country manor that people have to drive to, or is this more like an ornate townhouse in the city that's within walking distance from other shops and restaurants? In what city is the shop located? One story mentioned Toronto, but having a character named Morgana DeLacroix and the suggestions that the mansion was once a bodello hints that maybe the shop is in New Orleans. Perhaps "the shop" consists of two different buildings; the larger shop is in the country and contains most of the artifacts (and dungeon,) while there is also a townhouse near the city center that looks more like an antique shop with a window near the street where pedestrians can see a few of the artifacts displayed? Who lives in the mansion(s) now? Vikki? Dylan? The older character(s)? I need some guidance here.

Thanks.
Older character - In the TV series the older character was Jack, it was change for this series, most people decided last year that instead of a 'Jack' character there would be Morgana Delacroix. In part because there is more you can do with a older sexy witch than with the creepy old pervert from the TV series my notes to my self on this character " in this forum and turned Jack into a hot, older woman named Morgana Delacroix. She's referred to as an occultist and a witch and she has personal knowledge of how good old Uncle collected and used some of the items."

The shop - Someone came up with a mansion in or around Boston. If I remember right it had been owned by the rich spice merchant family McCormick, the family fell on hard times sometime around world war one and were forced to sell.

Clove buds and cinnamon made a large amount of money for many Boston families. In real life the Endicott family and others would be the type of family and mansion that would be the source of inspiration for the fictional McCormick family. As in Endicott College, William Crowninshield Endicott, John Endicott. That Endicott family.

There was also talk last year that there might be more than one location, in part as some people already had a story part written in New Orleans or where ever. Most people agreed that ornate townhouse in the city that's within walking distance from other shops and restaurants. In real life the area north of Boston Swampscott Massachusetts would be the most likely place for such a mansion, but someone wanted it to be on "a hill overlooking the rest of city." so maybe Beacon hill or Downtown Crossing area within Boston. I think everyone agreed that the shop could consist of two different buildings.

"Perhaps "the shop" consists of two different buildings; the larger shop is in the country and contains most of the artifacts (and dungeon,) while there is also a townhouse near the city center that looks more like an antique shop with a window near the street where pedestrians can see a few of the artifacts displayed?" I think this is the concept that most people followed and were on board with last year.

I know there are others, but these were the ones that caught my attention due high-detail descriptions.

I'm obviously unclear on the two parallel forums, the story thread and the AH, but since there are no entries here for 2023, Season 4, I guess I'm not the only one. 8-D.
I've been sharing details from my vision of AG over in the authors' hangout, but I take it that that's the kind of thing that should be over here.
So, here are some details I'm using this year to flesh out my version of AG.
First, the characters' appearances, in Vikki's words:
"[Vikki Friday and Dylan LeMay] were both underrated beauties. At 5’8 and 130 pounds, she was quite slender, and her small breasts and relatively trim hips did not draw the male eye the way Morgana Delacroix’s 5’7, 145 pounds did. And as for Dylan, at 6’1, 165, he looked downright skinny in clothes. Their faces were both pleasant but unremarkable. She figured they were both about 7’s on most scales. With their clothes on. Get them naked and they’d both easily jump to 8’s. Her slender frame was tight and athletic and Dylan’s undressed body exposed ripcord muscle."
Here's more from Vikki on Morgana:
"...the curvaceous yet elegant raven-haired beauty...There were times when Vikki would have guessed [Morgana's] age as only 35, while during relaxed moments it could go as high as 55. But listening to her talk, especially about her adventures with Uncle Ludwig, who’d been at least 76 when he died, Morgana sometimes sounded as if Ludwig had been the younger of the two. Vikki still really didn’t want to believe in magic, but the idea that Morgana might not only be enchanting, but enchanted, was one that just kept growing in the young woman’s mind."
