So, Simon is rude......

Victoria Beckham looked anorexic

Randy is laid back and nice.

The girls name, the teenager? With the 3 brothers who have downs syndrome? OMG what a voice.

I'm horrible with names, as some of you know *shrugs*

So........ who's going to be the next Idol litsters?

Discusss........

would rather discuss the 100 million Cowell is to get for pulling away from Idol and transporting X Factor to the states

OMG 100 million, trust me America, it really isnt worth it.

Well YA!! I didn't mean amazing in the good sense.

That's like football players (calm down all you men!) who sign these 8
million dollar contracts. I just have the think, what the F?

Agree, we have badly equipped armies, hosptals and schools, and 1 man can get a pay packet like that WTF!!!

AI is a sham. The really good singers never win and the ones that win except Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, you never hear from again.
It is all about popularity and not talent.

I have given up watching it because some of the best singers get kicked off. Just a waste of my time.

I dont like the early weeks of those shows, when people are brough on who clearly have serious issues, just to be ridiculed. I have sat and cried at these shows.....

Really? I have refused to watch those shows. I don't understand the human need to ridicule. In truth, I have stopped watching it completely.

Very really. It's horrible and I don't get it either. I worry that parents sit with their kids and laugh at those less fortunate as a form of entertainment. Really struggle with that.

There have been some very nice singers who have come out of the show, but I really do not need to see the others.

The majority of those entering are simply unrealistic about their talents. I watch these sorts of shows and don't find myself laughing at the mentally disturbed. I do think some of the 'precious' types who think they're fab when they're not get only what they set themselves up for - and that's a touch of harsh honesty in some instances. Yes, Cowell's been known to go ott, but then if you had to sit through all the shit they do, perhaps you might too, occasionally. I don't always agree with him, and he's honest enough to admit when he realises he's wrong. So long as it's good for the show, of course.

For the most part I watch it and enjoy it, cringing at some, laughing at others, and delighting in the rare talents exposed. I'm no monster and neither's my youngest - it gives rise to some interesting discussions between us, as it happens.

Yea I think it is cruel and just to make fun of people. Just for ratings. It sucks.

when was it aired, I missed it
and tbh, i prefer our brit versions - the one thing I don't agree with now is where they allow the audience to chant and deride the performer, think it was in X-factor maybe? or brit's got talent. THAT is unacceptable, imo. too much pandering to the audience's lust for the circus.

I think that as there is a very lengthy selection process, pre anyone getting in front of camera, it says a lot about who is chosen and why. If it were just those who thought they were better than they are that passed that process, then that would be fine. But it isn't. Instead some seriously unwell folk are chosen. I am not attacking you personally, I think it says a lot more about society as a whole, rather than any individual

In the early part of the nineteenth century we would pay a penny to go and laugh at the lunatics in the asylums....now we watch X Factor....JMO

Not an idol watcher, but didn't I hear that Paula would reunite with him on the Xfactor?
