But, it ain't malaise. We have a strong economy now -- not so good for ordinary workers, whose wages have been depressed for decades, through administrations Pub and Dem -- but strong in the big-picture sense, and much better than it was in 2008: Growth high, unemployment low, inflation minimal . . . enjoy it while it lasts.

Unemployment is low because people gave up.

Actually, gasoline is a big factor on keeping the illusion that inflation has been held in check, but President Obama was adamantly opposed to anything other than higher energy prices and it was the private sector that delivered despite his insistence of not using any Federal assets to lower the price of energy.


Now it looks like the private sector has risen up to gob-smack the Democrats yet anew with the election of a businessman over a woman who crowed about killing coal jobs.

Obama did threaten to hold his breath until he passed out, but Putin made nasty in Ukraine and elsewhere in Eastern Europe. Good thing Obama followed through with that promise for upgraded missile defense for Poland. What's that? He didn't follow through?

Obama was Putin's bitch. The man has no balls. Remember his "line in the sand" threat? He's doing it again talking about paying Russia back for the phony hacking. I'm sure Putin is shaking in his boots - with laughter.
