Did anyone besides Bluesy and I catch the documentary on Muddy Waters last week? It was amazing! I'm so glad he grabbed me and said, "Sit DOWN and WATCH this!" *grin*

I enjoyed it. Did you watch 1900 House or the one where the families had to live on the prairie as the pioneers did?

I watched the prairie show ... no one else I know was interested but I thought it was great stuff.

The American Masters series that the Muddy Waters program was a part of has been universally excellent.

I watched the prairie show ... no one else I know was interested but I thought it was great stuff.

I am supportive of any programming that seeks to make history interesting to a contemporary audience, and so I am a fan of these shows, but I thought that the Prairie House was just plain good entertainment as well.

I was very dissapointed in the local PBS station today. They used a tribute to Fred Rogers as the starting point for their fundraising weekend.

I'm not completely positive on this, but, didn't PBS use tp have "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?" I use to watch that every night. Oh, &, back of, Hanns. If Amelia lived closer to me, I'd date her in a millisecond. We could watch PBS together.

Indeed it did.

It was camp, but I thought it was good. Costumes were a bit weird, if I recall. Kinda like being a walking McDonald's advertisement. The final round where you put the flags on the countries was always fun. Unless you got the unlucky draw of Africa. No one could complete Africa!

I caught the Viking show from Warrior's Challenge, and that was pretty cool. Hope I can catch the rest of them in reruns. We used to watch Mystery! all the time, Holmes, Poirot, Cadfael, wonderful stuff. We watch the Antiques Roadshow every Monday. And of course, Red Green.

Nova, Bob Ross, Red Green, Antiques Roadshow - all good. Did anyone see that special on Hippos? It ruled. I saw the Joni Mitchell one - and there was a Roy Orbison special about a month ago that was pretty good. I watch, I send them money. I love my PBS.

Amelia, I like and watch PBS too. Many men actually appreciate a woman who can talk about more than what color nail polish she wears. Hans is the expection rather than the rule.

Hanns is more than an exception, he is a freak of nature. If I were to to date a woman who didn't watch PBS then I would shoot myself for having such poor taste.

No mention of Reading Rainbow, so I'll throw it in. LeVar Burton just might be my favorite American--it was almost cancelled earlier in 2003. Thankfully it goes on.
