They've taken the time to read my story and write a comment so it's only fair I read them.

True, and I did post that I feel bad when it comes to that because so few people do comment compared to how many who read.

I asked this just to see if anyone else did it because I was already mostly sure this is me thing and maybe an indictment on my own eye rolling of some of the stories I've written here that aren't what I'd call winners

I do feel bad in the sense of at least they took the time to say something, most don't, but it's the same damn thing over and over

I read my comments, because my stuff hasn't garnered all that many comments. So far, they generally break down into three categories for me:

"Learn how to write."

"OMG, more!" (Which, I'll admit, is gratifying.)

"It would be better without the movie comments!" (That was a sub-theme on my latest. Star Wars fans are so easy to piss off.)

I read them all. Regular commenters often get a little thank you note vía feedback from me.

I respond to very few comments, and I'm also selective about who I send emails to from here. I usually use my old Yahoo email account for that.

Not many people here are old enough to get that one.

There were several versions of the ad with cars and trains. You couldn't do this on Amtrak because the windows are sealed. I think there are trains in places like India where the windows do open.
