Hi everyone. I am not sure where to post this. I am not really concerned but more curious about whether or not any of you have experience with this. Sometimes during Sex I glitch out. Especially when I am on top. Actually almost every time I am on top. I become unable to move for a few moments. I spasm. It is almost like an orgasm but not quite. I usually flop off and after a few seconds I can keep going. But it makes coming on top very difficult. Anyone else?

I'm not a girl but I knew a girl who had similar problems. She would get disoriented when she came, needing a few seconds to compose herself.
I'm not a medical expert, but it might be like a very light epilepsy, I guess. At least that's what it looks like to me.
do you black out or just find yourself unable to move?

Everybody have different reactions to orgasm.

The way it's described is just an idealized version.

OTOH, there's a possibility that it is related to epilepsy. I seem to remember that French called orgasm "little death", there's a reason. :)

here's a topic on epilepsy website, apparently orgasms CAN trigger minor seizures:

One more question... You're on top... Are you vertical, i.e. cowgirl? or are you just on top but face down on top of him, i.e. mostly horizontal?

That was my thought as well.

I would discuss it with my Doctor

Definitely discuss this with a doctor.

Might have your blood pressure checked while you are at it, though you can have normal blood pressure readings at the doctor and still have situational or positional blood pressure issues. If you have ever fainted from having blood drawn or getting a shot or piercing, or working too hard especially in hot weather, or masturbating/sex in the shower, that can be related. If you like half way faint and then wake up again, that's usually accompanied by your vision temporarily cutting out, your hearing seeming distant or warped, and your thoughts getting confused.

sounds like a low blood pressure situation to me see a doc gl :)
Again, I'm not a doctor but I have blood pressure issues myself so I know a bit. Thing is, when it comes to blood pressure it is a lasting thing. It's not like you feel bad for a few seconds and then you are totally okay. I mean that condition she describes would not fade away so easily and without a trace. If it was pressure, she'd probably become sick or dizzy and had to change position for it to go away.

Things like described are mostly neurological, meaning there's either a momentary spasm of blood vessels or just minor loss of consciousness/body control. That is a common thing for epilepsy, that's why everyone are saying that.

To stress it out, epilepsy is not a big deal IF you diagnose and treat it. In the majority of cases it's not this scary seizure-causing illness that heavily impacts one's life. Mild cases can and should be treated, and you would be able to live your life without ever remembering about it.
That's why I really encourage you to visit a doctor. Nothing bad will happen. Don't be shy! Doctors are there to help you.

This sounds like it could be a simple partial seizure, I would ask for a referral to a neuro and get them to run some tests. IF it is , don't worry about it, seriously- I'm 33+ years diagnosed grand mal (tonic clonic) Epilepsy and live the same life as everyone else. Kids, hubby, work ...all of it...

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I do have low blood pressure and do pass out from needles. I also was once diagnosed with petit Mal seasures. I don't really have them otherwise. You Lit folk are so cleaver. I don't get sick feeling or pass out but I feel paralyzed momentarily. I just feel guilty about not taking my turn on top šŸ˜†. In answer to the question about whether or not I am upright or flat at the time it does happen in both but sometimes lying flat makes it better.
