There's just something very wrong when you are sick of Christmas and it's not even November yet. Maybe to compensate, we should start celebrating Halloween right after summer vacation.

I did.

Right on! Me too, but mainly because I love Autumn, and always start longing for it WAY before Summer ever gets over. Halloween + Autumn = synonymous.

Okay I'm sitting here in Black Denims, a white shirt with a Black Leather Vest over it. My hair down. A long black Cape slung around my shoulders, and a set of fangs in my mouth that would make an Orthodontist dream of Hawaii.

Do you really want to knock on my door?

Oh I should mention that the Patio is lit from within by several Pumpkins, has a nice large Spiderweb strung throughout it, and has several Cats lolling about.

Bella Lugosi is playing on the DVD.

Next to the door is a large bowl filled to overflowing with such tempting treats as Snickers Bars, Reeses Cups, Toblerone, Tootsie Rolls, and Hershies Bars. (All full sized, none of this little ones shit for me.)

Oh and my wife is dressed in my old riding Leathers over a black Shortee Shirt. She has on black makeup, fangs and of course two relatively bloody fang marks in her neck. (Oh my Leathers are all black.)

We have so far handed out candy to several kids, and scared the living crap out of their parents.

What I am of course waiting for is the older kids a bit later on. I have heard they like to come up from their nice gated communities and cause meyhem around the trailer parks. I'm thinking I'll be having fun with them.

Edible Gifts

One holiday, my husband and I picked out all our presents together, so we both knew what we were going to get. Out of money, and still wanting to surprise him, I thought of a gift that was perfect for him. I got an old baby food container and filled it half with honey and half with sugar. I then put a label on it that read, edible exfoliater. Then I ran a bath with candles, flowers and the works. He loved it! The honey and sugar mix is a great skin exfoliater for the bathtub, and its edible so it works in the bedroom too. If the taste is a little strong, add a dab of vanilla extract.

Well I am now falling under the spell. I have a star and a candle up in two of my windows. I have started putting up the clips to hang lights around the edge of the roof. Tomorrow I'll be picking up some hooks to hang lights inside the patio.

My wife is talking about getting a couple of those animated lighted sculptures for the front lawn. I'm thinking about agreeing.

We're looking at multiple strings of lights for around the edge of the roofline. (Dare I get the dancing lights?) We're looking at several strings of Icicle lights around the outside of the Patio, as well as three strings of Stars for hanging inside the patio.

Do I sense a possible rolling brownout when I turn on the Christmas Lights this year?

My poor neighbors had no idea what kind of Redneck was moving into their park.

My grandparents made me string up lights yesterday afternoon. 500 lights all along the top of the patio and around a couple windows. Man did that ever suck.

Maybe we should design exterior walls with built in LED's so we could then just program them.
