I went into the post office today, because I needed stamps. It cost $7.80 for a book. They're up to 39 cents now! When did this happen?

Yea I know - it's horrible! The rate increase was back around the 8th of Jan....

I even remember when a book of stamps was 5.80 - what would be when they were .29 ....

I swear this snuck up on me!! And I swear I used some 37 cent stamps since Jan. I wonder if the PO made the people I sent things to pay the 2 cents?

I think the new rate went into effect january 15 or February 1 - can't remember which and both may be wrong, but yep, its more!

Its almost cheaper to use Fed Ex or UPS... at least your shit would get there on a decent time table (our postals around here vary from 2 to 3 days out...sometimes we dont see them when Its nasty outside either)
