It was a highly vascular node (it bled too much) so the doc had to puncture my neck over and over.

though there was one unnerving clarification.

Although I didn't have anything obviously cancerous (which might show up differently on an ultrasound I guess) my thyroid on the left side exists as a thin stretched membrane around a node more than twice the size of my other thyroid.

So that's pretty much definitely comin out some time or other.

Dunb question but how does thyroid stuff affect you?

Bummer for poking... good for initial non cancerous info.
