Sir presented me with a slave contract for Christmas and asked if I felt ready to sign.

I know there have been discussions on here in the past about the validity of sub/slave contracts etc...etc... In this instance it was just the next step in our relationship, we've been laying the foundations for some time now and a contract was always on the cards (even if it has no bearing legally) It is more a symbolic gesture, like collaring or marriage (but we are already married so couldn't do that one again!).

Anyway the upshot is, after careful reading, I signed my life over to him at approximately Midnight last night. I'm ecstatically happy and could not sleep for the rest of the night, going over and over in my head what I'd just done...not once did I think I'd done the wrong thing - so that's good
Anyway just desperately needed to share my joy

That's fantastic Subtle, I'm really pleased for you. I have a contract with Master. It wasn't really a formal one but I sat and wrote down the commitment I wanted to make to him as his slave and presented it to him when we moved in together. He has it safe and pulls it out if I try getting sammy on him. It means a lot to us and we do operate as though it were legally binding so it works for us. I am also on the slave register - as it says in my sig. Master thought it was kind of cute to sign one online but for us it is some form of external witness to our commitment.

I have not regretted it for a minute and we are learning and growing together every day. I really do wish you every happiness.

Congratulations.....I still remember the feeling of that moment when I did a similar thing, though no tangible contract. Though he made me think about it first, I have not regretted the commitment I made. As for legally binding and the habitual questioning by some about the actual reality of it, I don't let that bother me as it is illegal to rob a bank, kill another, drive too fast etc., but that doesn't stop people doing them, nor doing them intentionally...the reality and binding of it is how much it means to you both, not how much it would mean in a court of law which is very unlikely to ever see it anyway.
