Yes, I can imagine. Days on end, then nights on end. Sounds delicious.

Even if there was a pun, I know nothing of fishing boats.

Except what I saw in the "Perfect Storm".

Do you run into storms like that in Alaska?

A double ender means it's pointed at the bow and stern.

There are big storms, especially in the gulf and the Bering Sea and the Beaufort Sea, however I fish the inside waters of the southeast...the Alexander Archipelligo...largest collection of islands in the world and at home here on the water we are about 100 miles from the outer coast...which is Sitka, due west.

But it sounds scarey to me, being way out in the ocean.

It's fun and like I said for 100 miles there are islands everywhere...so there is some protection from the winds and the seas if you need it. I guess I just crave the excitement.

I can understand the craveing the excitment, and I guess it would be ok if you could swim good.

It does help, but without a survival suit in the water you have at most maybe 20 minutes. So there are precautions to take when out on the water. I don't worry about them much except to be prepared. On a sunny day when fishing is not that great though and you are surrounded by 15 whales feeding..***** is good.
