Stunner....No, the Biltmore is in the Asheville area. The Inn at Flatrock is closer to the SC border. Flat Rock is a smaller town south of Asheville. It was named for a large outcropping of rock that the Cherokees held sacred. The Inn was built by Henry Tudor Farmer and used to be called the Farmer Inn. H. T. Farmer also invented the Flat Rock rocking chair that didn't creep when you rocked. I have nevr been there, but I have seen pictures of the Inn as well as the surrounding area where the Great Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains meet. It is stunningly beautiful (play on words intended, stunner).

You should have a great time exploring your new surroundings.

So, 'cos I am terminally nosey and in the UK, what am I missing out on by not knowing about Midas then, hmm? Is it funfunfun?

freedom..................thanks for clarifying that information, ill have o check it out it sounds kewl. i have been to that area before and your right it is "stunning" if you get the chance to visit you should, and also look for table rock and a place called slidingrock.
you may need alocal to help yopu with sliding rock but if you find it you should try it but be careful that water is COLD.

Ok Anneski, here is the deal... Next time you get the monchies before me, at least leave somthing more than lettuce in the fridge! Like Oh I dont know, maybe at least some dressing for the lettuce!

Man did I ever pick the wrong time to feel the need to eat!
