i suppose less than week would stll be considered to be a newbie. i dont really feel like ive ben left out in fact ive been made to feel very welcome. maybe its the fact that im nt too shy and have pics lol. maybe , but i doubt, its the quick wit, or the ability to have a word to say about most anything. actually i think its because there are a lot of realy great people here. this was a great idea though spankin thank you for thinking of us newbies.

Hello out there. Newbie here. I stumbled onto this site almost a year ago and have come back regularly to read the stories. It's wonderful! I finally decided to become a registered user. I am a little confused, though, about PM's. What are they? I haven't been able to find any answers anywhere about them. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and let you know how much I enjoy this site.

let me see if i can shed a little light form ive learned so far sweety.
pm means private message, a message only you get thats not posted on the board. when you want to send a pm on any regisered users post at the bottom there is a pm "link". click on where it says pm and a new window will open this window resembles an e-mail composition page. the users name should already be in th "to" spot but ifnot you can type it in. then in the body blank type your messae, scroll down and hit "send message". now as for your pm's at the top of most pages you wl see a list that look sorta like this..................


control panel/register/calendar/members/f.a.q./search/home


these are all links to other sctions of lit, click on control panel which hambry referred to as cp this will take you a page where you will find your incoming private messages. i will send you one now so you will have something there and know you found it. feel free to send one back to me to make sure they are goig out if you wish. best of luck and if i can help with any other questions ill be happy to do so, if im qualified that is.

You can view any PM's YOU have received by scrolling to the TOP of the screen, clicking on user cp.

You can send me a PM if you want to practice.

HeavenSent, welcome. If you look up at the bar across the top of your screen you will see one that says usercp if you click on it you bring up your information. Here is where you will find your pms. I have mine set to alert me when I get them, which sadly enough, isn't often enough

Asheville and Flat Rock are in the south west corner of NC fairly close to SC. I have actually never been to the Asheville area, but there is an inn built in the 1700's at Flat Rock by a great, great, great, etc something or other that is still standing.
