Agreed. Even if it was my wife who was killed I wouldn't want another persons life destroyed over what was clearly an accident. Yes, he shouldn't have been mishandling a prop. But the primary blame clearly lies with the Prop Manager who brought live ammo onto a movie set. Wtf!!??Can't say I'm a big Alec fan but this seems like the correct call to me.
I'd want financial compensation for my family (net present value of all future earnings) and trustworthy assurances that everything that could be learned from this tragedy HAS been learned AND appropriate changes to protocols will be implemented. ..But destroy other peoples lives with prison? Why the fuck would ANYONE want that? it's not going to bring Halyna Hutchins back.
