Alcohol: How Tolerant are You?

Okay.

It should be evident that Black Bird has been out drinking. With all this talk about "light weights" and "drinking other's under the bar" it got me wondering just how Tolerant the average person is. If you pace yourself, how much can you drink in one night? How much can you drink in one hour without getting tipsy?

Let's see, all of my drinks have at least two, two and a half shots in each. It takes two drinks to start to feel the slightest buzz and three before I start to relax. I rarely go past that point, it's a waste of booze.

Pacing myself, at one drink per hour with food, I can go most of the night. I don't get drunk, but I do get sleepy.

It all depends on the mood, the energy level and what you have eaten that day. But generally, I tend to drink 4-5 shots and 6 -7 beer at the bar, and usually a bottle of wine or 5-6 beer before. But I AM a Canadian, and we tend to drink a lot anyway!!

The most in an hour w/o being tipsy?? I'd say 4 beer and a shot...maybe..

One day I had 4 pitches of pina colada with extra rum, a 6 pack of mike's, a 6 pack of schmirnoff ice and a bottle of irish cream...

I never drink enough to get drunk. Tonight, I had four drinks in one hour and was tispy... but then again, these were drinks like you had - Mixed drinks each with two shots or two and a half in them. With a bottled drink, I could probably drink more.

I usually lose count!

I do try and pace myself to one drink per half hour (I drink 2-3 glasses of water to each drink as well). Unforunately, I've been known to stay out VERY LATE!

I don't really know how much I could drink in one night....I know over the course of a night I have put away a LOT of alcohol...and on very rare occasion have gotten sick.

I have always had a rather high tolerance. And I don't get hangovers. Makes it more dangerous to drink, lol. Except wine...for some reason that just gets to me quick! A couple glasses and I feel happy...I get very happy/giddy/tipsy with wine. Beer, it seems I could drink all day and not feel too fuzzy. Shots...well those catch up to me eventually, lol! One moment I am fine...then WHAM the world spins!

It also depends a lot on the food content in my stomach, lol.

Usually though, if I am drinking, I am just out with friends, nursing them slowly through the night. After all, I always have to drive myself home at the end of the night, and it's not worth it to drink much

A while back.. when I was still a drinker. My boyfriend and I went out with some friends.

My drink of choice is tequilla.. forget the lemon the lime and the salt. It distracts me I can never remember if it's drink suck lick.. lick suck drink.. suck lick drink.. fuck it.. drink drink drink

anyway.. 1:30 am hit Last Call!.. I'd had 4 shots of tequilla.. and a couple of beers. I ordered "one more shot" and boyfriend ordered another (he wasn't drinking them, but the waitress would only bring one more drink per person) so he ordered me one. So.. #5 is slammed.. and I have #6 up ready to drink it.. I tilt my head back.. drink it and my head hit the table before I had a chance to put the shot glass down. I was incredibly fucked up..

Did you know it's hard to puke out of a moving vehicle? I didn't

So... 5 is my limit now.. or it was before I went on the wagon.
