Just an evening drive up toward the point at Barrow. The bear looks almost like cardboard, but the other photos in the string I stole it from confirm a live bear.

Yesterday, I was talking to a fellow about the polar bear plunge that he's doing in Seward this year. I remarked that if he wanted a real plunge, he should go to Kaktovik. He said he spent a year at South Pole and he'd been plenty cold there. I commented that there's no polar bears at South Pole.
