AIF Games

Being that this is literotica's forum for all sorts of perverse writing... I'm curious as to why no one here has pumped out AIF Games before?

For those unaware, AIF meaning Adult Interactive Fiction. More commonly, these games are played with an IF engine like TADs, ADRIFT, Inform or RAGS. If you've never even touched on such a subject, here's a great website to get you started http://www.aifgames.com/ .

If you have played AIF before, what do you think about literotica writers making such games? Thoughts?

Very interesting. I've been a fan of interactive fiction for a long time (I played the original Crowther&Woods "Adventure" on the mainframe at the university where my dad worked when I was a kid) and I've been thinking for awhile about trying to write an erotic IF game, but never found the time or energy for it. I'll have to try out some of the games on that site.

Me personally, I'm currently making an animal-breeding game with the twist that you are breeding humans and anthros. I ran into technical difficulties with the art when trying to make it actually adult though. I made the characters nude but it turns out to be pretty much impossible to animate them having sex, even if I only use one possible sexual position, and gets orders of magnitude more impossible if I wanted different positions or facial expressions, or anything like that.

Novel idea ('scuse the pun).

Being a bit of a geek, I've used Inform in the past, but to create the typical "Zork" type games rather than AIF. It might actually be quite a bit of fun to try write something...ahem...more adult.

What a way to combine all those dirty little scenarios playing around in my head into a single production! If he goes to the kitchen, she follows him, drops to her knees and...<whew>...BUT...if he goes to watch TV, she goes to the pool, where the pool boy shows up and she....<errrrr>

Any volunteers to collaborate on a project?

Jeez...I remember Moist. Man, that was ages ago. Happy days!
Or maybe it's a sign of being old that *gasp* text based stuff could be such fun.

Just downloaded the latest versions of some of the compilers, and have to say that inform looks pretty easy to use. Natural language parsing, so creating a room is as easy as:

Master Bedroom is a room. "The bedroom is quite large and airy. There are so many windows letting in absolutely oodles of natural light. All the better to show off the curves of the woman lying on the bed in the middle."​

I'm sure, however, that the underlying tech isn't as important as the game play, so techie considerations aside, are there any ideas for an IF storyline that people would like to see?

Big news everyone! GoblinBoy has just released a new AIF called 'Meteor'! It's honestly just as addictive to play as 'School Dreams 3'. Either head to the AIF yahoo group, or just use the link here Also, you'll need the new TADS engine to run it.

Good lord! It's been a VERY, VERY long time since I've revisited this thread. It almost completely escaped my mind... at the same though it has in fact been pretty quiet. Anyway, I'd like to promote my new AIF game. To run it you need to download and install 'ADRIFT5', (just google it).

In this game you play as a college student who's been invited to hang out with some friends at their house. You could go through the night like a normal person or you could end up stealing panties and molesting them when they're asleep. Surprisingly though you stay a virgin either way. Also, I give free permission for anyone to modify this game if they wish.
