I'm not sure why you resurrected this zombie thread, but I, for one, wish you hadn't. I appreciate being able to talk with other writers without feeling like I'm in a meat market. Banter is fine, but this is just locker room-level. I've never gotten a locker room vibe here. If this place used to be that way in 2008, I'm glad it's not any longer. This is a site brimming with other places to go for that sort of thing.

Just for information. Of that group, I know of three couples that are married now. And another two that met they SO in the AH. There were also meeting called Litogethers. I hosted one and there were two others I attended here in Texas and one in Atlanta.

New crowd, lot of newer posters who don't know each other that well

Many of the women I see here today aren't here to talk dirty or play games, even in the spirit of fun. Neither are a lot of the guys, the few guys that would, are assholes, not flirts,

We currently have a creeper into DM's who things he's smooth and yet another in the long line of handsinthedark style 'doms' and an old one like that who'll come running to this forum because he's too fucking stupid to know this is just some harmless fun.

But having said that no one needs to post or get involved that doesn't want to.

Which would be me. Flirting isn't my thing. High school was a long time ago and I saw the last incarnation of a group of authors who started doing this-albeit in their own separate clubhouse-and it turned into Ashley Madison within a couple weeks and all the ensuing drama was ultimately the end of it.

Times had changed, and nothing good comes of things like this these days. Kind of a shame, but that's how it is.

The very first post included two actual names. Now, that might be funny and understood by all back then, but looking at it now, it just looks like those horrid middle school/high school lists of "Girls I'd Like to Fuck."

As I said, I have no objection to banter. A lot of fun banter is flirtatious. But I don't think it's unreasonable to object to a "Girls [Guys] I'd Like to Fuck" list. Most of the thread was numbers only, but it still clearly conveys the impression that fellow chatters were being sized up.

I don't care who does what with each other in real life, in their PMs, or even on the boards. I don't think this falls into that category.
