Bamboo, actually.CharleyH said:I love gardens. Any veggies or herbs growing and is that pot I detect in the foreground of the greenhouse?(joking, it looks - *sigh* Ken)

But can you guess how they were made?
To be honest, it is how they were made that makes the piece work... and the photo doesn't really do justice as the 'fluffy red' G-string is bolted to the wall by a metal plate![]()

We grow mint, rosemary, fennel, basil, sage, chives, lavender, oregano, and garlic in pots around the garden. In the greenhouse are tomatoes, sweet peppers, chili peppers, various lettuce, rocket, spring onions, radish, cucumber, and bedding plants ready to be planted out. The obelisks in the pic have runner beans growing on nicely.
The area off to the left (that you can't see) has three apple trees, blackcurrant, white currant, gooseberries, strawberries, and raspberries.
I like gardening.

Said like a true architect. What is the building? Who is the foxy chick?neonlyte said:This is one I'm quite pleased with from my USA trip

The second one looks like Batalha, the church built to commemorate to crushing of the Spanish. If I'm right, you'll probably remember the statue is the square of the horse and rider trampling Spaniards underfoot - not the best of friendsCharleyH said:I love this pic. Trying to think of the name of the place ... Gondomar? Anyhow, in the fore some Roman ruins and in the back, the steeple of a more modern church from the town.
I need Lauren to remind me of the remaining place, but I think, Neon, you'll appreciate the grandiose idea the architects had to make the steeple taller than anything known to man. As you can see it remains unfinished - lol.
