In the late '90's, when I got my first apartment,I got Echostar (now Dish).

The were no regulations, and I had local (central), West coast and east coast feeds.

It was awesome.

Best, I got their local NFL games as well!

It felt like a major ripoff when they stopped allowing that.

I was still with my parents at the time but I had a similar deal where I had WGN which at the time was east coast WB, I had East Coast USA which I didn't really care about much at the time other than watching late night bikini flicks but now with the internet it would make WWE so much better to not have to wait three hours before going back to forums because half the world has already seen if John Cena retains. I had one or two others that seemed to just cover all the important bases.

They got Simmons out of that artifact/portal/Kree fuckery faster than I thought they would! Figured they would play that out for about five episodes, she was in Guardians of the Galaxy territory!

Oh, Ward is NOT FUCKING AROUND. Dude is borderline psychotic with the Hydra leadership!

Ditto. I expected her to be lost for quite a bit longer than she was. I'm curious where exactly she was. I'm not super familiar with the comics but given how the Marvel Universe functions I'm not ,certain why you think it was Guardians territory especially after they brought in the Asguardian to consult. We know that the MCU has AT MINIMUM 9 realms. You can't (As far as we know) fly to Asguard or Jotenhiem. You only get there via portal.

I'm actually curious all of a sudden about the Guardians. Is there some kind of ban on going to Earth? Cus Star Lord could take just about any piece of shit space tech return to Earth and be rich beyond compare. None of the talks seem to make it sound like Earth is either unknown (he was taken by that bandit) or particularly out of the way.

I guess that increases the odds that she was taken over by something and is now evil as shit though. That's only real reason to bring her back that quickly.

As for Ward. . .dear god do not fuck with that man. He will wreck your shit in twelve different languages.

Sure it went by quickly, but there's sure to be flashbacks. We simply must know what she was fleeing from.

Without a doubt there will be flashbacks. I didn't mean in universe. I meant from a strictly out of universe narrative point of view I expected them to drag out Simmons is missing and Fitz is desperate to get her back. Predictably with him taking ever increasing risks that are generally just dangerous to him (in the grand scheme of things) but eventually nearly gets someone else killed teaching him a valuable lesson. Really any progress worth noting in episode 2 of a 22 (or is it 23?) episode show is utterly unheard of.

I'm not entirely complaining mind you. Just caught a bit off gaurd is all.

Where ever she was, it was a world with breathable atmosphere, even thought it looked like the artifact ported her into a sandstorm region. Even the earthbound Asgardian dude (glad he came back) didn't know what it was attached to.

Also, since she wasn't the only one to go through it, there's gotta be traces of those who went through it in the past. Hopefully the story behind this is not just ending with it being granulated by Skye's powers.

I'm thinking the Nova Corps probably put Earth/Terra on a "hands off" kinda list because we don't have a world government or advanced space faring tech yet like other worlds do. But now that aliens are an open secret and we're manipulating Infinity Stones, all them bets might be off.

just wanted to say I love the show and also expected simmons to be in the portal longer, but I'm glad they found her anyway.

These latest 2 eps have been great fun to watch! I like casual Coulson, he seems disco-ready. I LOVE Constance Zimmer....I'm reluctant to say how bitchin' of a Madame Hydra she would make, and why is that? Beeeeecaaaaauuuuuse.....didn't we just spend the last four years destroying Hydra in multiple movies and this very TV show? Now Grant is like, "Let's thug it up a bit and do it again." I hope it's a red herring. There are many villain groups they could go to, I'd like to see The Hand make a play to broaden the ranks with super-powered inhuman ninjas. Then see that battle bounce Elektra to Hell's Kitchen, and into the loving arms of Matt Murdoch, knocking sweet murderous Karen Page to the floor in a pile of blondeness and running mascara. Orrrrrrr........then there is always doing it the old-fashioned way and making a villain up from scratch.

So, Sonic the Hulkhog.....I had to look this up.

Lastly if you folks have not been keeping up with the Jessica Jones teasers, go peep out the jukebox one at least! No spoilers there, but definitely some badassery. All of these teasers have merit and they are very styled and non-communicative in terms of plot detail, and show structure...they are truly teases and have all been great.

Edited to say: Man, if I could snap my fingers and make Mack be Luke Cage, it would be so.

Oh my:devil: You really are a hot one!

Well if YOU were HERE, I'd start with a massage, oiling your beautiful body. I'd start with your feet. Deep pressure, slowly moving up your calves. Deep, slow. Deeper, slower, making you feel it. Sliding up further to the backs of your thighs. Deep, hard, slow, but deliberate. Making sure you'd feel it.

Do you feel it baby? My love?

Thanks! I do feel it Randy. Truly. It's like shivers exploding!

I'm actually glad they are keeping Hydra rather than bouncing around through the various other groups. First none of the other groups really have the clout that Hydra does and as much as I'm proud (especially of DC even if Super Girl getting a show before Wonder Woman is still the sort of thing someone should be drawn and quartered for.) for starting to broaden then universes beyond the ultra star line up there is something to be said for clout. Especially among villains.

Besides a lot of the reason that comics have so many evil orgnizations is because once upon a time all the different heroes were only kinda sorta in the same universe. The reason Spiderman or Daredevil never happen to get attacked by mutant haters is because anti-mutie people only live in the X-men New York. (No seriously, their origin stories aren't known to the public. I get why the Fantastic Four aren't hated on. The public knows what happened with them. Spiderman should get just as much hate as Wolverine.) The reason J. Jonah Jameson doesn't seem to give a shit about the X-Men or praise Tony Stark because they all live in different New Yorks. To their credit the Ultimate Line up made a huge effort to unfuck that. There really is finite space for evil organizations trying to take over the world. Granted the Hand doesn't seem to be interested in world domination for the most part (and isn't it heavily implied that's who's actually behind the Yakuza in Daredevil?) so they don't conflict with Hydra but most other groups would eventually end up fighting Hydra.

Besides the whole theme of Hydra is that you can't destroy them because they are an ideal. It's basically evil Batman.

Really should sit down and watch this from the beginning at some point.

You know I hate to shamelessly plug but Netflix has it all. Granted you'd have a tough slog to catch up right now but it's doable.

No real complaints from me, another head rises, and so on as long as they keep it feeling fresh. But musing a bit? Nothing should bring villain groups to the yard faster than a bunch of brand new superheroes who are vulnerable and have zero ideology.
Coulson get's it....he wants to recruit, #1 priority, only Blair Underwood is cock blocking like a traitor. Six weeks observation? GTFO....begin the indoctrination! Constance Zimmer? She get's it ....Grant? Clueless....running some DNA Hydra nostalgia trip.

The Hand was behind the stuff in Daredevil (one would think they need to be to tie in with Elektra's story) then like you said the villains would all be fighting each other anyway, so throw in The Hand too...the acquisition of these new assets is just the catalyst for a giant battle royale. Maybe show Coulson how small and insignificant his little group really is when lost in the shuffle of a global war between The Hand, Maggia, AIM, Kingpin, etc. Even if it was only a 2-ep arc and Hydra was on top when the dust settled it's great fun to imagine.

Good guys are stupid in that way. I agree with begin the indoctrination day one. But the reality is a lot of these guys probably do need at least six weeks observation just so we can get a handle on how their power actually functions. Maybe metal melter guy can actually liquify any matter and only does it with metal so far because it's easier to resonate. Skye/Daisy's power does almost exactly that with harmonic frequencies it's a lot harder but the way her power is described she should be able to turn you into a tuning fork once she figures out how to hum that chord.

See that's what I end up hating about MOST of those global stories is they don't generally explain why this shit didn't happen earlier. (Here there is a damn good excuse with the rise of the Inhumans.) And why so many of them can't come to terms with each other. It's actually my favorite story from Ninja Turtles is the New York Wars which is . . .basically comic book Iraq. Turns out killing Shredder/Saddam meant a free for all from all the bitches kept in check. I do like that.

Sooooo...now we finally know who Lash is. Amazingly, there were tells to this happening prior to the reveal, as the people over at MoviePilot.com sussed out pretty well: http://moviepilot.com/posts/3604152?lt_source=external,manual Just in case there's heads who haven't watched it yet, I'm not going to spoil it here, it was a good whoa moment when watching it unfold.

May and Mock fighting together as a team-up is pure badass. I hope we get a lot more of this happening! :D

And Gideon Malick (he was briefly in a blink-and-you-missed-it moment as a member of the World Security Council in Avengers) might be a possible thorn in Ward's side for dominance in Hydra. This season has been full-on blast, so far. :D

Dunno if the Von Strucker kid actually died, though. Was thinking they'd play him out a little longer than this.

God that makes the Winter Soldier set up that much better.

But as for the Council's call I stand by nuking New York repeatedly and often was a viable plan. Sure we as the audience knew the Avengers would find a way but that was the basically an advance guard and Hulk and Thor were the only ones who seemed capable of taking down Leviathans. In addition Loki moved a lot of unecessary pieces. To quote the honorable Vincent Kennedy McMahon

Loki screwed Loki.
