I wasn't shocked over much. I was more shocked that he survived Deathlok stepping on his head. I mean since his head wasn't pulp why did they even think he was dead instead of knocked out? Honestly knowing he was a Deathlok they should have kept putting bullets in him until they were sure.

Ward serves a great purpose. He's going to be the villain they turn to either because he knows things they don't or because he's willing to do things they won't. He'll spend a while as as the pet monster or enemy mine. If they were going to kill him they should have let the chick do it, since they didn't he has a purpose.

I'm suprised they had him drown and possibly brain damaged. It was quite obvious from last weeks foreshadowing that Ward did what he could to give them a sporting chance at survival.

He was a bit of a transformer in the tail-end of the original series - when he went into super-pursuit mode - and he was very much one in the short-lived, next-gen TV series.

September isn't 12 months away, they likely have drafts writen considering how the Marvel Universe works SHIELD was probably mostly finished around the same time Avengers was written and Season 2 is most likely finished now so it can tie in with the 2015 movies without too much hassle.

Sadly I don't know anybody in on it.

And the franchise movies needing to be tied in to the series directly or indirectly would be AFAIK, Guardians Of The Galaxy (a stretch, but still part of the same uni), Ant-Man and Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Also getting in the mix is the newly signed-off-on sister series Marvel's Agent Carter with Cap's sorta-kinda love interest from Winter Soldier. I think that's on ABC also.

Don't forget about the already-announced multiple Netflix-based series, but dunno if they're for 2014 or 2015. They might be part of Phase Three. Gonna be fun times all the way around for Marvel junkies no matter what.

they're making a show out of the agent carter one shot? neat, i guess. she's cute enough to get me on board for the pilot anyway. and the one shot wasn't bad.

Agent carter is an 8 episode season (not sure if it's just a miniseries or a proper show) that will slot into the SHIELD times lot during the midsession gap.

Speaking of one shots, I have to admit I've been wondering if there will be one on the AoS box set (almost certainly TBH) and who it will be about...

The Ant Man director has quit the project, despite being the driving force to get it done. They have a replacement, but not said who yet.

And there are rumours of a possible Miss Marvel movie coming after an actress called 'Eden Ster' (no, never heard of her either) tweeted about a meeting with marvel & leaving with comics... Then later started talking about Miss Marvel.
