Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I admit that I was not sold on it. It seemed a bit soapish to me at first, but my wife liked it. The second season, though, has made me a fan.

Yes, this season has made it a "must watch it the time it airs" sort of show which I never do.

They had a couple of Flash characters appear a few episodes ago. Had the Flash not been getting his own pilot & show (as it was clear that they were going to series when the pilot was ordered), then Barry would have appeared in that episode instead of them... IIRC.

Killer Frost (Caitlin Snow) and Vibe (Francisco "Cisco" Ramon). Barry Allen (Flash) appeared in two episodes early on this season, and was righteously perving on Felicity Smoak.

Agreed. it used to be the show that I had to be convinced to watch. Kind of the "let's just DVR it and watch it later" show . . . which is saying something because I was a DC Comics nerd when I was a kid. Now, I'm the one wanting to watch it, and am a bigger fan than she is. ;)

Will The Internet Melt Down? Sue Storm’s Black Dad Cast In FANTASTIC FOUR

Oh you thought that maybe Johnny would be the adopted one? BTW, they've added another good actor.

Racist nerds have been up in arms about the casting of the great Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four, wondering how he could be the brother of white girl Kate Mara. Could it be adoption? Maybe - and if so, it turns out Sue is the adopted one. See, they've cast Dr. Storm, Sue and Johnny's dad, and he's The Wire vet Reg E. Cathey.

You knew him as Norman Wilson, Carcetti's aide in The Wire seasons four and five. He's Franklin Storm in the movie, and this version is a scientist - which means we're straight up getting the Ultimate Fantastic Four (in case you had any doubt previously, by the way). In mainstream 616-Marvel Universe Dr. Storm is a physician, but in the Ultimate universe he's a doctor who is involved in the science project that creates the Fantastic Four. He also fires Harvey Elder from the program, leading to him becoming Mole Man.

I'm guessing that this will be upsetting to racist nerds. I don't really know why, but I just feel like it will be. I think they could handle the Storm family being white and adopting a black son, but making all the Storms black? I actually hope that nobody ever addresses the skin color of the characters at all. And I'm glad they're casting strong actors; I like the cast of this movie a lot (still waiting to be sold on Jamie Bell, frankly), and Cathey is a strong choice.

i just hope that kate mara is better than jessica alba. i mean, she's almost certainly going to be because she's not a block of wood, but i'm cautious.

Oh God, I'd forgotten her Hotness was Sue Storm last time around. And she was so watchable in Dark Angel!

And really nothing else ever. Shy she's not a model instead of an actress cus I do love looking at her.

SHIELD renewed for a second season, with 'Agent Carter' ordered (with Atwell returning to the role).

The Flash ordered to Season as well.

No idea who Kate Mara is.

And, wtf can't Chris Evans continue to play Johnny, Captain America and do shitty movies on the side?

They don't want to confuse people. Same reason Cyclops died off screen in X3 so he could be Superman. (a decision he probably regreted in hindsight). Same reason why Batman never appeared on Smallville while the Nolan Batfilms were running.

We'll see how strictly they keep that up as more and more stuff starts popping up and they have a harder time keeping everybody's shit separate. I'm really amazed Avengers 2 got Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to be honest.

because he was fucking horrible as johnny storm.

the new guy was alright in chronicle, but that's the only thing i know i've seen him in.

Never watched it.

But I do recall Cathey from PBS' Square One TV from back in the day when he used to teach me math and stuff.

Director Coulson!!! So sayeth Fury himself after he gave him the equivalent of the Matrix Of Leadership Cube or whatever!

That's all for now! Back to mah dranks at dee bahh!

Yeah I saw the previews of Gotham. Looks good, I've said for a while though that WB and DC need to get off Batman's cock and give some of the rest of that universe some love. Arrow has worked wonderfully. I think Question would be a fabulous series as well, basically X-Files but in DC so he travels around ideally at first in a world where most people don't believe in most heroes.

Man. . .Fury and Coulson quipping is a shit ton of fun.
