Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I don't remember much at all of Deathlok from the comics but he's probably in that club where so few people recognize him that they can be far more liberal with their interpretation than with other characters. If Magneto was as "minor" a character as Deathlok he'd probably be a Nazi Sympathizer who wants to destroy humanity because they are an inferior species not a Jew who has a damn good reason to be skeptical of a government that wants his people to come in and be counted and labeled.

Coulson in the video seemed to have been adamant that Tahiti never be used on anybody because it simply fucks you up and you come back wrong. And regardless he was quite dead when it was done to him I have to imagine that there is at least one more person involved in the loop cus it's not so much a loop right now as a crescent.

He said that they get all wrong after they find out what's been done to them, so.....

Guess that sets up future plot-lines for him and Skye going crazy before "the team" has to find out who blue man is and hope that his/her people can cure them.

Or something.

Considering he pointed out that even giving them false memories doesn't always fix it and he said maybe it was the knowledge of what was done I think they are chemically wrong somehow. But I could be wrong, regardless we're still missing a player in this game. Fury didn't hand over the process of reviving Coulson to Coulson who was dead at the time and dissaproved of the project to begin with.

I forget, did Sky actually die or just come damn close? I thought she didn't die or if she did it was extremely short. Like the kind of dead that real people have been dead longer than.

I think the Blue man isn't so much a who as he is a what. They mentioned something about aliens Kree are blue aliens. I don't remember them having any immortality/regeneration or anything like that but they are tough sons of bitches.

Skye came close to dying but they put her in that stasis chamber that Deathlok was in previously. Also remember that she's an "alien" in secret, so that will definitely be exploited somehow. I'm guessing this will come out for the finale.

Lady Sif said that the Kree were kept from Earth, but...hmmm...ah dunnoooo...:D

Enough Kree are blue and sufficiently few other aliens are that until I'm told otherwise a blue alien is a Kree, green ones are Skrulls! It's just a working theory mind you but one I think lines up reasonably well with the available facts.

We know Coulson was rewritten with alien DNA, we know the Kree were mentioned previously and thus are cannon, we know Kree are blue.

Also I think this might be my favorite line of the show.

Coulson: Will you shoot me if I come out, cus if you will I won't come out.

we've already had skrulls in the avenger movies they just weren't called skrulls. they weren't green, either. and they didn't touch on the shapeshifting at all for whatever reason.

but as for the kree the blue ones are in charge and a minority. the pink/white ones are the oppressed masses and they look pretty much exactly like white people. now, i haven't been following the show, but... hey, just saying.

Very much so. Despite their absence in the promo, I think it's obvious that Ward didn't kill those two. If you wanna kill two genius scientists, don't trap them in a storage room full of stuff they can Macgyver into their rescue.

Honestly cannot see how Ward will survive the season and i'm sure a fair percentage of the fandom will enjoy watching him die, which is a shame because I think Dalton has be great post twist.

Coulson geeking out over the suitcase was fun.

You forgot to mention the bit where Skye turns into an alien monster and proceeds to bite the heads off of everyone on the planet.

In an unrelated note, "Flowers" has now become the most bangable SHIELD-babe for me. She wears those dresses like a second skin and I would not mind peeling one off of her. Her eyes creep me out, however. Nothing that a bag won't cure.

Don't use Piggly Wiggly bags.

True story. I had a double bagger one night and was in the act of hitting it from behind for quadruple protection (you know, 2 bags, the light off, and from behind) when she turned on the night light and that red pig was staring me in the face.

Horrphuckingor.

That was a scene from "A Clockwork Orange" you're remembering.

And, here's a pic of "Flowers":

I thought given the context with the dog and them showing that they fell into water from a relatively low height instead of being dropped from standard airplane height onto rocks, was Ward doing what he could give them a sporting chance. Same way scared the dog off and unless it happened when I was blinking we never actually see who was about to take the shot with the sniper rifle but I think it was Garrett. He kept commenting on Ward's weakness.

I think Ward survives the finale, something sufficiently fucked up will happen to Garrett with that mixture of chemicals and shit that will require everybody to team up to put him down.

Ward's going to survive, maybe turn into something else for Season 2. You just don't put out a backstory like that for a character designed to make you feel for him even though he's an asshole, just to ditch him.

I'm thinking Skye's big reveal is going to counter Garrett's transformation into whatever the serum did to him. Keep in mind that it was not a complete formula. It's a shame that they destroyed T.A.H.I.T.I. along with that blue alien that they probably won't wholly identify.

Also, those multiple Deathlok soldiers in the Cuba locale. At least that's what I THINK I saw with the glowing eyes in the dark.

And the best line in the show, ever: "Get ready for a large file transfer." :D

You're not familiar with Joss Whedon are you? He's the kind of prick who does put that kind of work in and then kill them off just to make the crowd cry.

That line was good. But I hope he got punched in the face off screen. I actually loved the line way at the beginning.

"We're doing what's right. . .and I'd really like my plane back."

This may have been previously noted in this thread:

CW Orders ‘The Flash'

“The Flash” is a spinoff of another DC Comics-inspired show, the CW's successful “Arrow.” The project, from writers Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, also known as superhero speedster The Flash (pictured). Berlanti and Kreisberg are executive producing, with David Nutter and Melissa Kellner Berman.

No it hadn't. I'd heard about that but everybody was sorta waiting for him to show up in Arrow and kick some ass before his show started but unless they saved him for the finale (possible but way to take the shine off your main hero if he gets his ass saved by the guest star!) they might not be doing it. Course maybe that means it won't be treated like spin off.

They had a couple of Flash characters appear a few episodes ago. Had the Flash not been getting his own pilot & show (as it was clear that they were going to series when the pilot was ordered), then Barry would have appeared in that episode instead of them... IIRC.

Didn't they have Barry Allen himself and the two part episode ended with the lighting bolt at the lab that transformed him? And wasn't Felicity tots hitting on him to the point that it was annoying Ollie and he told her to get her head in the game? Or was that not Flash himself?

Edit: Yeah I was right. Barry Allen, the Flash, is the guy who saved Oliver's life during the Three Ghosts episode around Christmas. He also made the mask that Oliver wears. Barry did appear and the episode and got his powers at the end of the second episode with him in it. I honestly expected him to show up last night as the guy carrying the cure. That was a pretty big amount of love to show a character getting their own show without at least debuting them on yours.

I recall watching the first episode of Arrow and not being sufficiently impressed to ever go back.

Plus, it's the CW. I'm way too old for that channel.

IMHO, Arrow, like Agents of SHIELD, didn't start well. Both shows only found their stride in the second half of their first seasons. I would definitely recommend trying the entire season again.

Arrow only got better and better. It's one of my favorite shoes on TV now.

I admit that I was not sold on it. It seemed a bit soapish to me at first, but my wife liked it. The second season, though, has made me a fan.
