Now as for an 18 year old high school student...
Unless she/he flunked two grades somewhere along the way...there are none. Even I graduated at 17 and I flunked fifth grade. (it was an eyesight thing, I needed glasses, did fine after getting them)
Not always true, many students turn 18 before or during their senior year.
And, sadly, many inner city schools have 16 & 17 year olds in middle school.
I used to substitute teach & it was sad.
The school year where I grew up is Sept-June.
So anyone who was born In September through June will be 18 on Graduation Day.
The minimum legal age for a Kinder student is 5 y/o on the first day of the school year.
Therefore, anyone held back has the potential to be 19 y/o at graduation, and 18 y/o during their Junior (grade 11 year)
So anyone who thinks an 18 y/o senior is a rarity is UNINFORMED.
Using Math, the original Math, there are many many 18 year olds in the school system.
In fact, by graduation, there is a potential for the majority of students to be 18 since only students that would be 17 would have been born in Jul or Early Aug.
Use the disclaimer. It's your best bet since this age topic isn't a debate. 18 for sex and they can be in high school.
