I’m curious to know if anyone here has ever used a chastity device, like a CB-3000 or something like that?

I’m married and we indulge in femdom play fairly regularly, although in truth I would like to increase this dramatically. I have managed to get my wife to agree to short periods of chastity (up to 12 days) although I obviously still take care of her during this time. There is no means to ensure this other than my own will, but the more I think about it the more I want her to lock me up and to have the key.

Why do I want this? Well I’m not really sure. I owned and enjoyed wearing a CB6000s for a while. I think it's a really well designed product and it's really comfortable (until you get a hard-on, then it tries to crush your balls )
There are numerous warnings about buying "cheap chinese copies", however my experience relate to the failure of one of the genuine articles.
One of the pins of mine broke loose and on futher examination I noticed a couple of the parts did not align properly. I contacted the retailer and they confirmed the rest of their stock was the same. I contacted the manufacturer who confirmed the retailer sold genuine items, but only after several unanswered emails did I get a response along the lines of "we've passed the matter ot our engineers" and I've herad nothing else since. An identically worded email was apparently sent to a member of a chastity forum who had had theirs split along the main seem of the cage.
Other people seem to have had a better response from the manufacturer, but neither I nor the retailer I used have had good service from them.

Well, I bought one of those metal ones, but it was ridiculous. Firstly the thing was so big it would have looked like I was hiding bananas in my pocket, and there was so much movement in it that I could have easily escaped. Not only that but the locking ring was way to small. So that went back.

Then I bought a CB-6000. Which, in all honesty was just as hopeless. Even the largest ring was too small, and the cage was too small to get my cock in. I'm not bragging here, I would say I was Mr Average in the cock department, but it was hopeless. I sort of got it on, but instead of my cock expanding in the cage it just pushed it away, so that I was hard sort of 'behind' the cage, if that makes sense.

Not only that but it was nowhere near as smooth as I would have liked, maybe it was a cheap copy, but I still think the issue of lots of pieces of plastic coming together has far too much scope for trapping hair and, more importantly - skin! I managed to nick my cock with the bloody thing too.

About £40, so yeah to be fair it almost certainly wasn't a genuine one, but even so. I'm sure the genuine article isn't all that different. The only issue which might be better is perhaps the smoothness, but the ring size will be the same.

Saying that the birdlock's biggest ring is 50mm too.

I'd really like to buy one of those and try it, but I'm going to be so pissed if it doesn't work!

As far as size goes it sounds like it's worth mentioning a few things (sorry if any of these are obvious):
I found it easiest to put the ring on and wait a few min before putting the cage on. I always got a semi just putting the ring on and that made it almost impossible to get my shaft into the cage.
Make sure to lube the cage not your cock as you're less likely to get hard, again making it easier to get the cage on.
Have a cotton bud to hand when you put the cage on as you can use it to persuade all the skin into the right places without getting pinched when the cage gets fitted to the pins.
If you get a hard-on, your cock will expand to fill the cage, but it will also try to push the cage off. IMO this is inevitable with any such device.
If you have trouble with the diameter of the rings, is that because you have a tick shaft or because your balls are quite close to your body? In the short term you could alternatively use a small leather strap (available from most sex shops) fastened above your balls (just round your scrotum, not your shaft) while you put the CB on and then remove the strap when the padlock is in place.

In answer to your questions, I wouldn't say my shaft is particularly thick, at least not where it would be of any use. My balls are very high riding though, in fact I bought a leather strap recently and I can't even get that on! So I'm sure that's not helping. Maybe your idea of the cotton bud might work. And leaving the ring on for a while might help too...

I'm still not entirely convinced though.
