anyway, im new to this site and want some recommendations on what i should check out and any tips you guys have on getting started here.

The playground is full of great people who are not full of themselves. I stay away from the general board. Find fun boards, post on threads that strike an interest. Everyone here is friendly, if not at times a bit crazy.
