Is that possible?
Is that possible?
I thought that was one of the good things...that you couldn't get addicted to it. I guess it makes sense.
It's less addictive than a lot of things and doesn't come with the chemical dependency issues a lot of other drugs do.
Cold turkey on some drugs can kill you.....worst that will happen with weeds is you'll have some WILD dreams/nightmares, maybe have a hard time getting decent rest and a bit grumpy because of it but your liver isn't going to fail on you.
Quitting both coffee and tobacco are way worse.
Marijuana might be habit forming, but I don't think it's addictive in the way opioids are addictive.
It's impossible to get clinically addicted to it, like heroin for example, where your body starts to physically require it. However like any recreational substance it can be habit forming and some are more susceptible to this than others.
It has some remarkable properties and has been used down the centuries as medicine and pain relief. Some say it also inhibits the growth of cancerous cells but this has yet to be definitively proven. The modern prohibition of it is very recent and mostly for economic reasons. (Hemp threatened the lumber industry.)
If you use it before the age of around 25 it can cause permanent loss of brain function, although the severity depends on genetic factors. Also like anything if you combust it and inhale it, it will damage your lungs.
If you ingest it as an adult in moderation you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
