I disagree, but then double standards are a pet peeve of mine. Still, the age of consent is a bit absurd. We're one of the few civilized countries to have such laws (not sure about China, but with the Reds in power, they no longer count as civilized, anyway). I very much doubt that the problems which don't surface in other civilized nations will magically appear here if we changed the age of consent to something more sensible. Not 14 per se, but maybe 15 or 16.
