AAAGH -- Final Fifty Shades book to be released!

It is entirely possible to write difficult and dark themes, with violence and bad ends for characters, without writing content that punches down at vulnerable minority groups of all stripes and shapes, and to continue to do so once this has been pointed out is either lazy, indicative of ulterior motives, or both.

Be better.

I've cycled through enough of your review thread to know two things.

1-You don't know nearly as much about consent and motivation as you think you do

2-You do know a hell of a lot about ulterior motives and manipulations.

That thread, and you yourself, I used to enjoy until it blew your ego through the roof and went from your review/opinion of the stories in question to beating people into thinking your way and your way only.

I've read your NC or BDSM related reviews and a couple of your stories to know your own issues with consent are what your projecting in your reviews and tap dancing around in your own work, while trying to pound what you want to be there, instead of what's there into people's heads.

I read your butchering review of EON's Hunt story where all your little lap dogs joined in. I read that story, and one thing everyone here knows about me is I will not read anything I deem non consent.

But there was consent, and it was clear to anyone not putting there personal feelings and agenda into it. I liked the spin so much I talked her into publishing it, introduced her to a publisher and had the cover designed for her as a surprise-and further encouragement to publish because I felt it0-and her writing in general-was that good.

That's what people without an agenda do, they help people. I may be a little trollish on the boards at times, and I'm one of the dying breed of people who will say what I mean even if its not popular, but I have helped a lot of people behind the scenes, while you wallow in having your ego stroked and being politically preachy.

People can write without denigrating a certain group, but unlike what you think they don't have to because speech is still free and authors should create characters with ignorant opinions because those people exist and there needs to be realism and polarizing topics, not sanitized politically motivated 'sensitivity reader' approved pablum, which is what you want to screech at anyone who doesn't do it.

Look at this thread, a lot of hate for Shades in it for a variety of reason...but...we're all here talking about it, and sharing opinions and discussions and even rants, so it has an effect, the author had an affect, and that's what its about. I loathe the work, but would never say it should be banned or pulled, because unlike far too many these days, I know censorship is not a good thing

There would never be anything to discuss if everything was a watered down Oh no, you can't say that word, or Wahhh that's some type of ist pile of tripe, and that is also your agenda, if it offends you it shouldn't exist. And like all holier than thou crusaders, all you're doing is projecting while trying to impress people with your self righteousness.

Someone once told me its easier to lash out and project than to look into the mirror and reflect. Try the latter, you'll feel better when its all said and done.

I've wanted to say these things to you for awhile, but won't go in and derail your thread. I thought about a PM, but seeing you love to attack and beat down and humiliate in public threads, I'd do the same....once.

My Pm's are open, you want to have a real discussion about consent, or any topic for that matter. I'd be happy to hear you out, and share my thoughts, but not in public, you like to try to grandstand in front of others, like a schoolyard bully. I'm happy to settle things in private because my ego doesn't need petting.

This thread is far more interesting, thought provoking and entertaining than the book its about. :D
