I'm hoping some of you can help me with this. The thing is I'm a virgin. (by choice) Anyway I do masturbate quite a bit but never have put anything inside of me. Usually I use virbrators or anything else but simply for clitoral stimulation. I have the most intense orgasms from that. Anyway, the other day I was really getting into it and just about to cum. My whole body was shaking and it caused me to drop my vibrator. The tip was just barely inside me so it went a little deeper. I felt this sudden intense sharp pain shoot through me. Do you think I could have torn my hymen? Any help or advice you all you could give me would be great. Thanks!

I think you have only two choices: either go ask a gynecologist, or wait until you have sex and find out then. It's really hard to tell the difference yourself, and it's also hard to tell for sure if you broke it or not. Some women hurt like hell when it breaks, other don't feel a thing, some bleed like pigs, others, again, not at all.

from one peach to another, I will second svenska's answer. I never bled the first time but do recall a short sharp pain, but it would be a good idea for you to see your gynecologist. Don't worry about being embarrassed about asking, those guys/gals have heard it all before!

Is it something that worries you for a particular reason? Or are you just curious?

Lots of women tear the hymen doing things other than masturbating, even as little girls, so a doctor or a future lover wouldn't know for sure how yours had been broken unless you volunteered the information. In some women it's very thick and in others it's a much thinner, more delicate membrane and can be ruptured very easily (I was in the latter category myself).

You're a virgin until you have sex. With or without a hymen it doesn's matter. Don't sweat it.

The only way you can lose your "virginity" is if you have intercourse with someone... oral counts as such due to the fact of possible transmition of STDs. But thats a whole other topic.

In other words you could be stimulating your self using the leg from the kitchen table or your brothers baseballbat as a tool for penetration and still be a virgin.

But then again what do i know im only a "virgin" my self.

Could very well be. I lost my hymen on a tampon. Definately shooting pain - no blood.

But I agree with everyone else, go see a doctor. Although it was most likely your hymen breaking, sharp pains should always be verified with a doctor.

Thanks guys for the replies. I'm not at all worried about it and I know losing your hymen isn't losing your virginity. I was just merely curious that's all. It hurt for that few moments but that was it. I was just wondering what everyone else had to say about it. Thank you all

just to add this:

I remember I once saw a discussion about virginity. There was this one girl who wanted to keep her hymen until marriage. But she gave blowjobs and she had anal sex .... and then she said: "I am still a virgin".

Now I don't know, but a woman who gives head and does anal is not a virgin in my eyes. I think the virginity is more then just an intact hymen, it is in the head of the people.

O.K. I know, some muslim girls do this, because they can't marry without an intact hymen (at least in some countries) - but in the discussion that I mentioned above, the girl that had anal sex was a real slut, she had sex with many different guys ...
